Via Ferrata in France: Top Outdoor Adventures Awaiting You

In France, average daily summertime temperatures range from 18 ºC to 28 ºC and get slightly cooler the higher up you go in elevation. Summer and autumn are also the wettest seasons of the year, with spring being slightly drier.

There are various starting points for Via ferrata trips in France. For the Alps, flying into Geneva International Airport (GVA) and transferring to Chamonix by car, bus or train is the best option. If you are headed to the Pyrenees, then you’ll fly into the international airport in Toulouse (TLS) before heading to the mountains by car, bus or train.
