Description

I invite you to join me on a unique 7-day ski touring experience, just for women, in the magical and remote Lofoten archipelago, in northern Norway! Come enjoy some amazing ski tours with other adventurous women in a truly wonderful destination.

I am an IFMGA-certified woman guide -and a mother- and I love to share my passion for the mountains with women like you. I organize this trip together with She-Explores. We will take you to discover a unique off-the-beaten-path destination, far away from the crowds, making sure you enjoy an unforgettable experience.

The Lofoten archipelago is located north of the Arctic Circle. It offers exceptional snow conditions all season with many snowfalls, allowing you to ski on beautiful slopes overlooking the spectacular scenery of fjords and lakes

Our base during these days will be the Climbers Café, a cozy and welcoming place for our evenings, after an exciting skiing day in a wild environment. The Henningsvaer peninsula is a very popular place to relax after challenging ski tours, with great bars and cafe concerts.

Every morning, we will set out on a great ski tour to explore some of the many surrounding peaks, with exceptional views over the entire archipelago of the Lofoten Islands, between the sea and the mountains.

A women-only program allows you to enjoy a unique experience like this feeling comfortable, surrounded by a supportive environment, while enjoying amazing runs in a spectacular destination. Come discover with us the northern islands, the open landscapes and small glaciers, with the view of the sea always on the horizon.

The touring options are endless. Some summits with low altitude difference allow us several descents during the day. At night, we enjoy the magical northern lights, to finish our days in complete beauty, after intense skiing.

The islands offer a wide choice of descents, with many unique runs between the stunning granite walls of Lofoten. In other words: an unforgettable trip!

Mountain Guide

I was born in a small ski village in the Swiss Alps and was immersed in the climbing culture through my parents at a young age. After three years competing in the ice climbing world cup and after graduating from law school, I decided to pursue climbing professionally, both as a guide and as a professional alpinist.

My passion for everything relating to the mountains - alpine climbing, ice climbing, skiing, skimo races, rock climbing, etc. - has taken me all over the world, doing first ascents and repeated beautiful climbs in places such as Canada, Ethiopia, Norway, Jordan, Iceland, Antarctica, Morocco, Thailand and more. But some of my greatest climbs have been here in the Alps, climbing the north faces of the Eiger, Matterhorn, Grandes Jorasses and Drus, or Beyond Good and Evil in Chamonix. What I love most though is climbing big frozen waterfalls.

Through guiding, I get to share my love for the mountains, as well as my skills and knowledge with guests around the world, in the alpine, on ice, rock or on skis. What I love about my job in the Alps is that I get to speak so many different languages - English, French, Italian, German - as the mountains sit on or close to borders.

The mountains are my passion and have been my way of life for most of my life. It is a community I am proud to belong to. And on this journey, I have met my husband and fellow mountain guide, Adam. We love working together. We live in Finhaut - a small Swiss village right the French-Swiss border between Chamonix and Verbier - with our lovely daughter Olivia. We have access to beautiful climbing and ski touring right from our doorstep and are close to world class terrain in France, Switzerland and Italy in a matter of minutes!

When I am not guiding, I play for myself in the mountains, work on translations, blog and love to rediscover the wonders of the world through the eyes of my daughter.

Climbing with guide Guillaume was absolutely a highlight of my 2-week Europe vacation. Originally, we were planning on climbing in the Calanques, but the park was closed due to wind and fire danger. Guillaume chose another amazing location (Pic de Bretagne) based on my climbing abilities and preferences and kindly offered train station pick-up and hotel drop off, which I appreciated very much. The multi-pitch route we did was not only fun but also the right amount of challenge, which I thoroughly enjoyed. The communication from the team (Gauthier) was prompt and clear—highly recommend!

Luis Silva was a great climbing guide and belayer! He taught me how to do moves that were difficult and encouraged me to try routes that were challenging for me! Because of his encouragement, I managed to complete these routes! I really enjoyed the climbs and completed 8 routes in the Sesimbra/Azoia area. The weather was perfect, no direct sun and cool enough to enjoy the climbs. Explore-Share made booking an outdoor climbing experience in Lisbon extremely easy. Luis, our guide, was fantastic, and the platform’s organization was flawless.

Patrick was a great guide. He took us on an intermediate Via Ferrata at Passo Sella. Renato was quick to respond with any outreach on the Explore-Share platform. The booking process was straightforward, and once Patrick was confirmed, all went well. It was a wonderful experience, and I’d highly recommend the platform.
