Description

The Wasatch mountains in Utah are a gorgeous collection of peaks. And for 3 days, we would like to guide you through them on an exciting backcountry ski seminar.

Every day of this trip, from 8 am to 4 pm, you will be exploring the snow draped beauty of the Wasatch mountains. The views and serenity of the area is spectacular, and will provide you with an abundance of wonderful memories.

There is a long list of incredible things to see in the Wasatch mountains. A few examples include the following:

Big Cottonwood Canyon

Prior to each day’s tour, we will discuss the snow, weather and avalanche conditions. This will ensure your experience is as safe as it is enjoyable. It also ensures your trip is unique and varied.

Throughout the 3 day tour, we will assist you in avalanche assessment and route planning. We will also provide you with safety tips and coach you during the backcountry descents.

Participants in this trip should have experience with backcountry skiing. They should also be able to ski on advanced level, ungroomed terrain, and be able to skin up to 1000 metres per day.

Backcountry skiing is an amazing winter activity. And for 3 days, we would like to take you on a tour through some of the most beautiful areas of the Wasatch mountains of Utah. All you have to do to be a part of this great trip is send us a request. We look forward to hearing from you!

Based in the Wasatch Range near Salt Lake and Park City since 1993, Utah Mountain Adventures (UMA) is the premier full-spectrum, year-round guide service in Utah.

Programs include backcountry skiing, split-snowboarding, rock climbing, ice climbing, avalanche instruction, summer and winter mountaineering, trekking (hiking and snowshoeing) and canyoneering skills.

Led by Julie Faure and Tyson Bradley, UMA (formerly Exum Utah Mountain Adventures) operates under a permit issued by the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest.
