Join me on this 1 to 3 days hiking trip across the Vipava valley in Slovenia. Discover one of the most wonderful valleys in the continent. This place is so amazing that in 2018 Lonely Planet ranked it in the top ten European destinations worth exploring!

The Vipava valley is the ideal place for a hike. It offers some of the most mesmerizing sceneries and breathtaking views. Also, it has many options with various difficulty levels. So you’ll find everything here, from steep slopes to quiet trails. And along the way, you’ll also encounter high plateaus, enchanting valleys and majestic peaks worth visiting.

The options are endless! The steep slopes of the Trnovo plateau, alongside with the ones in Nanos, open the possibilities for different types of terrain.

For those that prefer mountainous adventures, there are many peaks we can hike through. The most popular ones are Čaven, Kucelj, Mali Golak, Nanos, Sabotin and Škabrijel. And all of them are accessible all year long. Moreover, depending on the season, the views you’ll get from the top of these peaks will simply hypnotize you. The colors of everything around them change according to the time of the year, and weather permitting you could even see all the way to ocean and the Julian Alps!

What’s more, the itinerary of this trip is open. Thus, you’ll get the opportunity to create your own itinerary based on your skill level and desires. I will make sure we cover everything you want to see. And of course I will make sure you are safe throughout our journey.

Price includes: Guiding fee, Transport during the trip and rental of personal technical equipment ( Hiking poles, climbing belt, helmet, snowshoes, etc. ) // The price does not include: Transportation from your hotel to the meeting place and back to your hotel is not included in the price and must be paid in cash upon arrival (10 – 60 EUR per person). Halfboard accommodation in the mountain hut or hotel for guide and clients are not included in the price.

All climbing, training, trekking, hiking and snowshoeing tours are guided by CMGA certified (Croatian Mountain Guide Association) and UIMLA guide.

I live in Slovenia, a country where mountaineering is a way of life. My team of UIMLA and CMGA guides and instructors works and lives in Slovenia or Croatia. If I am not available to guide you, one of the experienced guides in my team will be your guide.
