Have you ever imagined a via ferrata route inside a canyon? In Sallagoni River it’s a reality and I would love to guide you there!

The Sallagoni River is situated near Arco, in the Italian province of Trento. Its waters runs into a canyon with little waterfalls inside. During this half day expedition we’ll go through this gorge although it won’t be a canyoning activity.

Our challenge for this day will be passing along the sides of its vertical walls without getting wet. For that, we will follow a via ferrata route that includes a Tibetan bridge. We will also test our strength by facing some outstanding sections and occasional iron steps. This secret via ferrata will finally lead us to the Castle of Drena, a perfect place to cool off in the summer.

This via ferrata tour in Sallagoni River is suitable for everyone, even for children if they’re taller than 1,40 meters. The route is quite short and has few difficult sections.

Mountain Guide

Certified mountain and ski guide and is directing since 15 years the Mountain School Mmove (former Friends of Arco). In the past, his passion had driven him for weeks to the solitude of the Alps, of Patagonia, or of the icy heights of the Karakorum to climb famous walls and peaks and open up new routes.

Today his priorities have moved. He wants to share his enthusiasm for the mountains - while working with his guests and in his spare time with his sons, as his father has once done with him. Mauro Girardi is very proud on its enthusiastic and highly qualified team of local Mountain-and Ski Guides, Hiking Guides and office employees. Mmove is not just a mountain school, but is a steadily growing circle of friends, who would like to realize great experiences. We like to Mmove it !!
