Via ferrata tour in Cima Capi at Lake Garda

Reach the summit of Cima Capi after a via ferrata adventure led by local IFMGA-certified mountain guide Mauro in Val di Ledro, with amazing views of the Lake Garda.

Description

Cima Capi is a summit of 909 meters high located in the mountains of Garda and is accesible by a fun and easy via ferrata. The peak is part of the Rocchetta massif, north of Val di Ledro and west of the fabulous Lake Garda.

The via ferrata route leads through tunnels and trenches that were built during the First World War. It also offers incredible views of Lake Garda and the eastern mountains of Garda.

The ascent will take 6 hours and starts at Biacesa. I’ll guide you via a very well equipped and exposed path that will allow us to admire the exotic natural beauty of the Sarca Valley.

Due to the high vertical walls and the altitude change that we must face during the ascent, this tour requires a very good physical training. Once at the top of Cima Capi, we’ll go down by old walkways and war fortifications used in the past that we’ll make you learn a lot about Italian history.

This via ferrata tour takes place every Wednesday at 8 AM. I can pick you up from Arco, Riva del Garda or Torbole.

Make your reservation for next summer and visit Cima Capi with the supervision of a local guide.

Mountain Guide

Certified mountain and ski guide and is directing since 15 years the Mountain School Mmove (former Friends of Arco). In the past, his passion had driven him for weeks to the solitude of the Alps, of Patagonia, or of the icy heights of the Karakorum to climb famous walls and peaks and open up new routes.

Today his priorities have moved. He wants to share his enthusiasm for the mountains - while working with his guests and in his spare time with his sons, as his father has once done with him. Mauro Girardi is very proud on its enthusiastic and highly qualified team of local Mountain-and Ski Guides, Hiking Guides and office employees. Mmove is not just a mountain school, but is a steadily growing circle of friends, who would like to realize great experiences. We like to Mmove it !!

Mmove is the only mountain school in the Alto Garda region with a guaranteed weekly program and activities for all tastes and the whole family.

The team is formed by 8 IFMGA/UIAGM Guides, so if Mauro is not available, one of the other highly qualified members of the team will be the guide.

Climbing with guide Guillaume was absolutely a highlight of my 2-week Europe vacation. Originally, we were planning on climbing in the Calanques, but the park was closed due to wind and fire danger. Guillaume chose another amazing location (Pic de Bretagne) based on my climbing abilities and preferences and kindly offered train station pick-up and hotel drop off, which I appreciated very much. The multi-pitch route we did was not only fun but also the right amount of challenge, which I thoroughly enjoyed. The communication from the team (Gauthier) was prompt and clear—highly recommend!

Luis Silva was a great climbing guide and belayer! He taught me how to do moves that were difficult and encouraged me to try routes that were challenging for me! Because of his encouragement, I managed to complete these routes! I really enjoyed the climbs and completed 8 routes in the Sesimbra/Azoia area. The weather was perfect, no direct sun and cool enough to enjoy the climbs. Explore-Share made booking an outdoor climbing experience in Lisbon extremely easy. Luis, our guide, was fantastic, and the platform’s organization was flawless.

Patrick was a great guide. He took us on an intermediate Via Ferrata at Passo Sella. Renato was quick to respond with any outreach on the Explore-Share platform. The booking process was straightforward, and once Patrick was confirmed, all went well. It was a wonderful experience, and I’d highly recommend the platform.
