Description

On this 3-day tour in the Dolomites, I invite you to discover some of the best via ferratas in the Schlern-Rosengarten Nature Park, situated in South Tyrol, in Italy.

We will start and end our program in Val di Fassa. Every day of this adventure, we will go for a different via ferrata and conquer a different summit in the Catinaccio group in the Dolomites.

After each day, we will relax and taste delicious traditional meals. Also, we will have the pleasure to contemplate the gorgeous views of the rocky walls in the Dolomites during the sunset.

As for the difficulty, keep in mind that it is important to have a good level of fitness and a minimum of via ferrata experience.

Itinerary

Day 1: Roda di Vael - Fronza Refuge

We will meet at 8.30 am in Ciampedie in Val di Fassa, have a brief and check the equipment. Then, we will go through the Vial delle Feide to Cappana Pederiva, where we can share lunch. The via ferrata will lead us to Roda di Vael (2,806 meters) and then we will descend from P.so del Vajolon to the Fronza Refuge (2,337 meters), where we will spend the night.

Day 2: Passo Santner

On day 2, we will go for the via ferrata Santner to the Passo Santner and contemplate great views of the Vajolet Towers. Night in the Rifugio Re Alberto or in the Rifugio Vajolet.

Day 3: Catinaccio d'Antermoia

We will go through the Vajolet Valley to P.so Principe and take the Catinaccio d’Antermoia via ferrata, to the top of the tallest peak in the Catinaccio Dolomites (3,002 meters). Descent to Gardeccia and return to Val di Fassa at 5 pm.

Mountain Guide

I have been a mountain guide since 1990. I started going to the mountains since I was very young. I was a competitive skier and covered most of the most challenging classic routes of the Dolomites and the Mont Blanc. I am an IFMGA-certified guide and I have also worked as a mountain rescue volunteer and helicopter rescue technician in 1985. Some say that my greatest gift is patience and practicity. Personally, I look for a good and harmonic relationship with people, to allow my clients to enjoy a satisfying mountain experience.
