Description
Are you looking for a challenging via ferrata experience in the Julian Alps? Then let’s go to the Vevnica Peak, in Slovenia, up the “Via della Vita” route!
Standing on the border between Slovenia and Italy, Vevnica (2,340m) is one of the most impressive peaks in the Julian Alps. With very steep slopes, ravines and crests, this mountain is a very difficult objective even for expert climbers.
On this day outing we will head up the Via della Vita ferrata, the hardest in the entire Julian Alps. However, we will be rewarded with amazing views of deep blue lakes and big mountains, such as Mali Koritniski Mangart (2,370m) and Mangart (2,678m).
Keep in mind that for this trip you need to have a good fitness level and some previous via ferrata experience. The descent is also challenging!

I am a UIAGM mountain guide, ski instructor and sports teacher and the current president of the Slovenian Mountain Guide Association.
I am still the only guide who can make a living working exclusively in Slovenia. I climb Triglav more than 25 times per year, which means I have climbed the most famous peak in my country over 200 times.
