Description

Velebit mountain plateau has so many canyons on such a small area that it provides for an unforgettable experience full of fun! Join me on this 3 canyons hiking tour!

This interesting tour will begin with some off-road driving up to the Velebit mountain plateau. During this drive, we’ll go visit an old Croatian rural farm, where we’ll get to know the local lifestyle. We’ll also get to see some wild Istrian horses, in danger of extinction.

Once we get off the off-road vehicles, we’ll walk for 5 or 6 hours while we enjoy stunning views over the reef and the highest peaks in the plateau. And after going through two canyons, we’ll go down to Starigrad-Paklenica over Velika Paklenica Canyon.

The most appealing features of the Velebit mountain plateau are the impressive Velika Paklenica and Mala Paklenica Canyons. Steep cliffs, wood-covered slopes and beautiful streams running towards the sea make for an unforgettable combo. We’ll enjoy them at their most!

Additional cost to this program is off-road transfer up to the mountain plateau (13€ per person).
There is no mountain hut on this tour. I recommend that you bring your own lunch for picnic and snack during activity. It's also possible to arrange lunch after the end of the tour at familiar restaurant for hikers and climbers, or at the restaurant on the coast with a larger choice of meals.
Please let me know if you wish to make lunch reservations.
