Description

The Val di Fassa is a gorgeous valley. Located in the Dolomite mountain range in Italy, the valley is filled with some of the most amazing wilderness landscape you will ever see. Thus making it the perfect place for a full day of ski touring.

During this trip, I will guide you through the valley. I know you will be amazed by the snowcapped peaks and blanketed forest. And because this is a ski touring adventure, you will be in the midst of the Val di Fassa's natural beauty the whole time. Some of the highlights of the valley include the Forca Rossa, Rifugio Vajolet, Rifugio Contrin, Malga Monzoni, and the Val Venegia.

This trip can be enjoyed by almost anybody, as long as you are at least 14 years old. You should have some previous off-piste skiing experience and be physically fit, as we will be covering a lot of ground.

This trip is for one day. However, if you would like to stretch the trip out for longer, we can discuss an extended itinerary. It won't surprise me at all if you want to see even more of the Val di Fassa, there aren't many places quite like it, especially in the winter months!

The Dolomite mountains are an amazing mountain range. And within them rests the jewel that is the Val di Fassa. On this adventure, you will have the chance to take your time and explore this amazing spot by way of a scenic ski tour. So if that sounds like something you want to be a part of, please send me a request.

I can also guide you on an ice climbing adventure in the Val di Fassa as well.

Mountain Guide

I was born in 1961, I live in Campitello di Fassa, in the Dolomites, together with my family. I have two sons, one is a mountain guide, the other is a ski instructor. I am a certified mountain guide since 1982, an instructor of guides, alpine ski instructor and a Federal coach for ISEF.

Being in the mountains has always been my passion, guiding people, teaching them climbing, mountaineering... during the various seasons of the year. I very much enjoy drawing nice curves in fresh powder snow and discover the charm of the frozen waterfalls.

My curriculum and professional mountaineering is made of many ascents and some openings of routes in the Dolomites and the Alps. I climbed in Yosemite Valley (California), Ben Nevis (Scotland) and Norway, Greece, Spain and Sardinia. I did also several high altitude climbs like Mt Denali (Alaska), Ama Dablam (6828m), Cho Oyu (8201m), Manaslu (8163m), Shivling in India (6545m), Cotopaxi and Chimborazo in Ecuador (5897m and 6310m), Patagonia (Argentina).

Feel free to get in touch with me if you are coming in the Dolomites for skiing (alpine, freeride and ski touring), rock climbing, sport climbing and multi pitch climbing. It will be my pleasure to guide you here and let you discover my secret spots.

Climbing with guide Guillaume was absolutely a highlight of my 2-week Europe vacation. Originally, we were planning on climbing in the Calanques, but the park was closed due to wind and fire danger. Guillaume chose another amazing location (Pic de Bretagne) based on my climbing abilities and preferences and kindly offered train station pick-up and hotel drop off, which I appreciated very much. The multi-pitch route we did was not only fun but also the right amount of challenge, which I thoroughly enjoyed. The communication from the team (Gauthier) was prompt and clear—highly recommend!

Luis Silva was a great climbing guide and belayer! He taught me how to do moves that were difficult and encouraged me to try routes that were challenging for me! Because of his encouragement, I managed to complete these routes! I really enjoyed the climbs and completed 8 routes in the Sesimbra/Azoia area. The weather was perfect, no direct sun and cool enough to enjoy the climbs. Explore-Share made booking an outdoor climbing experience in Lisbon extremely easy. Luis, our guide, was fantastic, and the platform’s organization was flawless.

Patrick was a great guide. He took us on an intermediate Via Ferrata at Passo Sella. Renato was quick to respond with any outreach on the Explore-Share platform. The booking process was straightforward, and once Patrick was confirmed, all went well. It was a wonderful experience, and I’d highly recommend the platform.
