A great trail running weekend in the Atlas Mountains with the company of Marc, an International Mountain Leader who comes from Great Britain. With his help you'll also run up to Mt. Toukbal, the highest peak of North Africa!
3 Days
All year
If you want to disconnect yourself from the routine and live a unique outdoor experience, I recommend you to come to the Atlas Mountains. This time, it's my pleasure to invite you to an intense trail running weekend. With my help, you will run among the best places of this Moroccan region. As a coronation, and before returning to work on Monday morning, you will also run up to Mount Toubkal summit.
Some of the reasons why I like to take my clients on this trail running adventure are the following:
In addition to exercising the body, you'll enjoy cultural tours,
You'll discover the way of life of the Berber, native villagers,
It's a great opportunity to conquer Mt. Toubkal, the highest peak of North Africa,
The Moroccan meals you'll taste in this trip are really delicious.
These mini-holidays will also allow you to be acclimatized to the altitude before the summit attack. Please take into account that they will be 3 intensive days. A very good physical preparation is mandatory. You must be capable of running a half-marathon in the mountains. Furthermore, you must also have some previous experience and training in running up several mountains.
Finally, at the bottom of this description you'll find the specifications of the itinerary. If you have more doubts or you need help to get decided, please contact me. Live a unique trail running experience in the Atlas Mountains in the company of a mountain leader who knows the area perfectly!

Meeting point
A taxi will transfer you from Marrakech to the mountains. We’ll start running uphill to Tizi Oudite, where we’ll have lunch. Then, we will continue passing by the village of Tizi Oussem, over the Tizi Mzik pass, and down into Imlil. We’ll spend the first night in that Valley.
We’ll have 2 options for the morning. Either a restful time to look around Imlil and buy souvenirs, or a 10-km tour running in Imlil and exploring these valleys. In the afternoon we’ll run up to the Toubkal Mountain Hut, at 3.200m in order to get ready for the big day.
After an early start from the Toubkal Hut we will run up to the summit of Toubkal, at 4167m. Then, we’ll run back down to the hut again for a hot lunch and something to drink. After that, we’ll head back to Imlil in time for a taxi ride back to Marrakech. We did it!!!

Mountain Leader
I am a certified International Mountain Leader and a Summer Mountain Leader (UK). In addition, I hold a Diploma in Conservation and Wildlife Management.
Originally from Great Britain, I am now based near Marrakech, in Morocco. Actually, in a Berber town at the foot of the Berber Mountains.
The love for travel runs in my veins. In the Sahara I lived with nomads. In Siberia I met reindeer herders. In Mongolia I traveled with yurt-dwellers.
The stunning landscapes and nice people of Morocco have enchanted me, which is why I now live here. My goal is sharing with my clients the exotic beauty that I've discovered here.
The environment is of extreme importance to me. In particular, I'm interested in geology and birds of prey.
Besides speaking English and French, I can get by in Berber.
My work is not limited to this area: I also do the Tour du Mont Blanc trek in the Alps.

Climbing with guide Guillaume was absolutely a highlight of my 2-week Europe vacation. Originally, we were planning on climbing in the Calanques, but the park was closed due to wind and fire danger. Guillaume chose another amazing location (Pic de Bretagne) based on my climbing abilities and preferences and kindly offered train station pick-up and hotel drop off, which I appreciated very much. The multi-pitch route we did was not only fun but also the right amount of challenge, which I thoroughly enjoyed. The communication from the team (Gauthier) was prompt and clear—highly recommend!

Luis Silva was a great climbing guide and belayer! He taught me how to do moves that were difficult and encouraged me to try routes that were challenging for me! Because of his encouragement, I managed to complete these routes! I really enjoyed the climbs and completed 8 routes in the Sesimbra/Azoia area. The weather was perfect, no direct sun and cool enough to enjoy the climbs. Explore-Share made booking an outdoor climbing experience in Lisbon extremely easy. Luis, our guide, was fantastic, and the platform’s organization was flawless.

We had Léo as a guide for our day climb in Fonty. We were blessed with a knowledgeable, warm, and instructive guide. Communication with Léo and Ivan was smooth and swift. Explore-Share was excellent in arranging everything for our day climb. The communication was quick, and the platform was easy to use, making our adventure stress-free.

Patrick was a great guide. He took us on an intermediate Via Ferrata at Passo Sella. Renato was quick to respond with any outreach on the Explore-Share platform. The booking process was straightforward, and once Patrick was confirmed, all went well. It was a wonderful experience, and I’d highly recommend the platform.
