Description

There are many options for rock climbing in the Dolomites. But not many combine the dazzling beauty of Tofana di Rozes, with the best rock quality and diverse climbing routes. So, don’t hesitate and join me on this amazing rock climbing adventure!

Tofana di Rozes stands at 3,225 meters, dominating the landscape and sceneries of the Falzarego Pass. Its steep and immense south face, hypnotizes anyone that has the opportunity to see it.

There are many climbing options here, from long and classic routes, to others more challenging and steeper. But it is undoubtedly the South Face, one of the most impressive and complete ones. As it combines pitches with solid rock, along with areas with loose rock, ideal for the most amazing scrambling.

However, there are many other classic ascents such as the Pillar Ribs and Buttress #1 ranked 5.7,with 14 pitches. We could also tackle Buttress #2 that ranks 5.9 and has 18 pitches. Or we can even try to ascend Pilastro, 5.11 and 14 pitches

Also, please note, this is a private trip. Therefore, I’ll guide exclusively you and your group, making sure you are safe and having a fantastic time.  I’ll craft the itinerary based on your requests and expectations. So we can stay for as long as you want, and explore any route you wish to conquer of this mesmerizing place.

Don’t miss out this unique opportunity and reach the summit of Tofana di Rozes. Let me guide you across this unforgettable rock climbing adventure in the Dolomites.

Mountain Guide

I was born in 1961, I live in Campitello di Fassa, in the Dolomites, together with my family. I have two sons, one is a mountain guide, the other is a ski instructor. I am a certified mountain guide since 1982, an instructor of guides, alpine ski instructor and a Federal coach for ISEF.

Being in the mountains has always been my passion, guiding people, teaching them climbing, mountaineering... during the various seasons of the year. I very much enjoy drawing nice curves in fresh powder snow and discover the charm of the frozen waterfalls.

My curriculum and professional mountaineering is made of many ascents and some openings of routes in the Dolomites and the Alps. I climbed in Yosemite Valley (California), Ben Nevis (Scotland) and Norway, Greece, Spain and Sardinia. I did also several high altitude climbs like Mt Denali (Alaska), Ama Dablam (6828m), Cho Oyu (8201m), Manaslu (8163m), Shivling in India (6545m), Cotopaxi and Chimborazo in Ecuador (5897m and 6310m), Patagonia (Argentina).

Feel free to get in touch with me if you are coming in the Dolomites for skiing (alpine, freeride and ski touring), rock climbing, sport climbing and multi pitch climbing. It will be my pleasure to guide you here and let you discover my secret spots.

Climbing with guide Guillaume was absolutely a highlight of my 2-week Europe vacation. Originally, we were planning on climbing in the Calanques, but the park was closed due to wind and fire danger. Guillaume chose another amazing location (Pic de Bretagne) based on my climbing abilities and preferences and kindly offered train station pick-up and hotel drop off, which I appreciated very much. The multi-pitch route we did was not only fun but also the right amount of challenge, which I thoroughly enjoyed. The communication from the team (Gauthier) was prompt and clear—highly recommend!

Luis Silva was a great climbing guide and belayer! He taught me how to do moves that were difficult and encouraged me to try routes that were challenging for me! Because of his encouragement, I managed to complete these routes! I really enjoyed the climbs and completed 8 routes in the Sesimbra/Azoia area. The weather was perfect, no direct sun and cool enough to enjoy the climbs. Explore-Share made booking an outdoor climbing experience in Lisbon extremely easy. Luis, our guide, was fantastic, and the platform’s organization was flawless.

Patrick was a great guide. He took us on an intermediate Via Ferrata at Passo Sella. Renato was quick to respond with any outreach on the Explore-Share platform. The booking process was straightforward, and once Patrick was confirmed, all went well. It was a wonderful experience, and I’d highly recommend the platform.
