The South Otter cliffs are an amazing collection of seaside walls that we would be happy to help you climb.

Located within the boundaries of the Acadia National Park in Maine, USA, these walls offer some truly spectacular views. The scenery around them is incredible. And that incredible scenery is a big reason why the South Otter cliffs were a big part of the Hollywood blockbuster, Shutter Island. Featured throughout the film, the cliffs are a sight to behold.

While they are an extension of the Otter cliffs, the southern version actually offers some easier walls. Hence making them ideal for people who are not yet rock climbing experts. So, if you are a novice rock climber we would be happy to guide you. We will also offer tips and advice throughout the day so you can improve your skills for future rock climbing adventures!

Very close to the main road, the South Otter cliffs are easily accessible. Most of the area can be accessed from the bottom. Thus making it easy to set up climber friendly belays.

These cliffs are a great source of fun. They are also a great source of peace and tranquillity as well. There is nothing quite like calmly and safely making your way up a wall of pink granite, while hearing the water churning below.
