Description

The Triglav traverse is the only real ski traverse in Slovenia. We will spend the first night in a regular mountain hut, then the second one in a winter room.

The program is the following:

Day 1: Cable car to Vogel ski resort. From there we traverse to Dom na Komni. The tour takes from 5 to 7 hours.

Day 2: Dom na Komni – Kal – Lopunica – Seven lakes – Prehodavci (sleeping in winter room). The tour takes from 7 to 9 hours.

Day 3: Prehodavci – Kanjavec – Velo polje – Triglavski dom Kredarica – Krma valley. The tour takes from 7 to 9 hours.

I invite you to read this nice story about 2 french skiers who joined me for a several day ski tour in winter 2016 in the National Park of Mont Triglav.

FAQs

The trip is suitable for split boarders?

Triglav traverse is not an ideal tour for splitboarders. It happened quite a few times to me that splitboarders bought skis after finishing this one on boards.

There are a lot of descends on skins, which makes it particularly challenging for you guys, plus some quite steep uphill too.

However, there are plenty of options for day tours in Slovenia, which suits splits better.

I am a UIAGM mountain guide, ski instructor and sports teacher and the current president of the Slovenian Mountain Guide Association.

I am still the only guide who can make a living working exclusively in Slovenia. I climb Triglav more than 25 times per year, which means I have climbed the most famous peak in my country over 200 times.

If you want to climb or ski in Slovenian mountains I am the right choice. I guide via ferrata, rock climbing, snow climbing, ice climbing, hikes, heliski, freeride skiing and ski touring.

Slovenia has good options for all of these activities, so you are welcome to take a look at my trips and find something for yourself. If you don't find anything let me know and I will see if I can help you!

I speak English. Ich sprache auch ein bischen Deutsch. Parla anche un pocho Italiano e abla tambien un po Espanol.

If I am not available to guide you, one of the super experienced guides in my team - Rok, Peter, Grega or Igor - will be your guide.
