Description

Take a trip into the Arctic Circle and ski tour through one of the most unique landscapes in the world! Spend a week ski touring through Troms and Finnmark along the coast of Norway and base your journey out of a boat to reach every nook and cranny of remarkable skiing terrain!

The northern parts of Scandinavia have some incredible hidden gems. The delightful postcard towns along the Arctic Ocean, particularly in Troms and Finnmark, are just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to discovering the amazing countryside of Norway. From fjords and peaks to quiet fishing villages, this European destination is filled with charm. Naturally, the best way to discover the magic of Norway is by ski touring through it – all while based from a boat.

Your program will give you a ski experience at the top of the world! Finnmark and Troms are the two northernmost regions in Norway, which means you get a unique, remote adventure. Not only will you be above the Arctic Circle, you will be ski touring in hard to reach places with exclusive access from a boat. The ability to boat to untouched powder and incredible terrain makes this a program you don’t want to miss.

You can traverse glaciers and ski long slopes by day and retire to an accommodating boat by night to prepare for another day of great skiing and pristine snow. Some mountains reach up to 1,000 meters in the area, so you can expect to see the ocean from fjords and peaks along the coast. If they linger late into the season, you may even get a chance to see the Northern Lights!

You should be ready for an immersive ski trip that will last over a week. Participants should be in good physical shape, and ski experience and proficiency to handle isolated objectives is a must. This is one of my favorite places in the world to ski and a rare opportunity for athletes who are looking for a personalized trip. I will ensure we have a fun, safe, and absolutely unforgettable time!

Make this Norwegian ski touring extravaganza your next vacation and BOOK NOW for an eight-day ski and sail program at the top of the world!

Mountain Guide

I was born in Bologna and I live now in Cortina d'Ampezzo, in the Dolomites.
I am passionate about the mountains and travelling. These took me to ski and climb in the 5 continents.
In particular, skiing allowed me to discover wonderful places as well as people. My favourite style of travelling is when I get to do it with skis on my feet.
In 1997 I started organizing ski touring cruises in the Lyngen Alps, which I have done 20 times since then.
My other passion is telemark. In fact I am an Alpine Telemarker Guide, and I like to go to the most remote corners of the world.
During the summer, I love rock climbing in the Dolomites and practicing mountain bike.

Climbing with guide Guillaume was absolutely a highlight of my 2-week Europe vacation. Originally, we were planning on climbing in the Calanques, but the park was closed due to wind and fire danger. Guillaume chose another amazing location (Pic de Bretagne) based on my climbing abilities and preferences and kindly offered train station pick-up and hotel drop off, which I appreciated very much. The multi-pitch route we did was not only fun but also the right amount of challenge, which I thoroughly enjoyed. The communication from the team (Gauthier) was prompt and clear—highly recommend!

Luis Silva was a great climbing guide and belayer! He taught me how to do moves that were difficult and encouraged me to try routes that were challenging for me! Because of his encouragement, I managed to complete these routes! I really enjoyed the climbs and completed 8 routes in the Sesimbra/Azoia area. The weather was perfect, no direct sun and cool enough to enjoy the climbs. Explore-Share made booking an outdoor climbing experience in Lisbon extremely easy. Luis, our guide, was fantastic, and the platform’s organization was flawless.

Patrick was a great guide. He took us on an intermediate Via Ferrata at Passo Sella. Renato was quick to respond with any outreach on the Explore-Share platform. The booking process was straightforward, and once Patrick was confirmed, all went well. It was a wonderful experience, and I’d highly recommend the platform.
