Discover beautiful Arslanbob, Kyrgyzstan and its surroundings with this amazing 7-day ski touring program. Situated on the southwestern slopes of the Fergana range (Tian Shan), Arslanbob (1600m) will surprise you with its great snow conditions and wonderful landscapes.
The area is also home to the largest walnut forest in the world. It has established itself as a hiking area and is now starting to develop as a ski touring area as well. Come discover this amazing spot before everybody else does!
Lots of snow, high elevation and slopes of up to 40-45 degrees make Arslanbob, Kyrgyzstan perfect for ski touring. You’ll also enjoy the gorgeous landscapes, the friendly people and the typical architecture.
We can either meet at Bishkek (the capital and where most international flights land) or Osh, much closer to Arslanbob. Please check the extra information box below for more details.
This ski touring program starts right at the village. You’ll ascend for around 1000 meters. Then, you’ll enjoy incredible descents on steep slopes and through amazing forests.
Arslanbob is right at the spot where the cold air from the Tian Shan range meets the hot air from the Fergana plains. This leads to an incredible amount of soft and fluffy snow.

Meeting point
Meeting at Osh airport. Drive to Arslanbob village (about 4 hours, 200 km). Once in guesthouse, we’ll check equipment, talk about avalanche safety and go ski touring in walnut forest close to village.
Meal: Lunch, Dinner. Accommodation: Guesthouse.
After breakfast, we will drive to the starting point of our ski tour or start right from the guest house. Normally, we will do one or more ascents and descents every day. I will choose the route every day according current weather and snow conditions and clients’ level. Lunch on the slopes (lunchbox).
Meal: Breakfast, Lunch (lunchbox), Dinner. Accommodation: Guesthouse.
After breakfast, we will drive to Osh (about 4 hours, 200 km). Lunch in café, then sightseeing of sacred Sulaiman-Too Mount, historical museum, bazaar. It is also an option to spend a half day ski touring and then arrive in Osh late in the evening.
Meal: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.
Accommodation: Hotel.

I organize for my friends and clients trekking, mountaineering, climbing and ski touring trips and expeditions in Kyrgyzstan. Climbing with guide Guillaume was absolutely a highlight of my 2-week Europe vacation. Originally, we were planning on climbing in the Calanques, but the park was closed due to wind and fire danger. Guillaume chose another amazing location (Pic de Bretagne) based on my climbing abilities and preferences and kindly offered train station pick-up and hotel drop off, which I appreciated very much.
