The volcanos of Southern Chile, in the Araucania Region, offer countless ski mountaineering possibilities. Come and enjoy the winter season with a professional mountain guide.
Let's conquer 3 summits in 3 days and ski through the highest quality snow!
During this ski tour we'll climb the Villarrica, Lonquimay and Llaima volcanoes. All of them are over 2800 meters of altitude! The main reasons why I love guiding in these volcanoes are:
The landscapes you'll admire during this trip are unique;
Welcoming culture of Southern Chile;
You'll climb and ski with an experienced ski mountaineering guide.
The Lonquimay Volcano (2865 m) is our first objective. We'll climb and ski it with daypacks. The mountain towers above the Malalcahuello village are one of the best ski goals in the region. They offer a sustained 35° descent down from the summit.
The Llaima Volcano (3125 m) is one of the most visually stunning peaks of the Southern Chilean volcanoes. We'll climb and ski its northeastern shoulder. Llaima's last eruption was in 2009!
Finally, the Villarica Volcano (2847 m) offers classic conical shape towers above Pucon. Moreover, it is one of only five volcanoes in the world with an active lava lake in the crater. Similar to our first goal Lonquimay, we'll climb and ski Villarica with daypacks. We'll cover 1615 vertical meters, ending at the ski area on the lower flanks.
This 3-day expedition implies a significant challenge. That is why you will need considerable experience in ski touring and mountaineering. This trip is open to all people in excellent physical condition with downhill skiing abilities. Keep in mind we must ascend and descend around 900 meters in a day, carrying a 15-20 l backpack.
If you find this ski tour interesting please fill out the form and get in touch with me. If I am not available at the date of your arrival, my brother Cristobal will lead this fantastic trip. Both are focused on leading a fun, safe and successful ski touring adventure!

Aspirant IFMGA/UIAGM Mountain Guide from Chile
I was born in 1990, and I always been surrounded by mountains, with family and friends in the Andes.
I did the first Chilean ascent to Cerro Torre via Ferrari route, four ascents to Mt, Fitz Roy, more than 12 to Torres del Paine and the first alpine traverse of the three towers.
I also climbed in the Himalayas, Yosemite, and other Andean countries such as Argentina, Bolivia and Peru.
I did the IFMGA/UIAGM aspirant course in 2017 in Bolivia, and completed the AIARE level 2 avalanche training.
I work together with my brother Juan (we are the Señoret Brothers). Contact me if you want to discover the most beautiful mountain spots in Chile!

Climbing with guide Guillaume was absolutely a highlight of my 2-week Europe vacation. Originally, we were planning on climbing in the Calanques, but the park was closed due to wind and fire danger. Guillaume chose another amazing location (Pic de Bretagne) based on my climbing abilities and preferences and kindly offered train station pick-up and hotel drop off, which I appreciated very much. The multi-pitch route we did was not only fun but also the right amount of challenge, which I thoroughly enjoyed. The communication from the team (Gauthier) was prompt and clear—highly recommend!

Luis Silva was a great climbing guide and belayer! He taught me how to do moves that were difficult and encouraged me to try routes that were challenging for me! Because of his encouragement, I managed to complete these routes! I really enjoyed the climbs and completed 8 routes in the Sesimbra/Azoia area. The weather was perfect, no direct sun and cool enough to enjoy the climbs. Explore-Share made booking an outdoor climbing experience in Lisbon extremely easy. Luis, our guide, was fantastic, and the platform’s organization was flawless.

Patrick was a great guide. He took us on an intermediate Via Ferrata at Passo Sella. Renato was quick to respond with any outreach on the Explore-Share platform. The booking process was straightforward, and once Patrick was confirmed, all went well. It was a wonderful experience, and I’d highly recommend the platform.
