Description

The Sawtooth ridge is a spectacular area in an equally spectacular mountain range, the Sierra Nevada of California. And on this 4 day adventure, you will have the chance to ski tour through this magnificent area. However, the fun doesn’t just include skiing. It also involves some mountaineering as well, as you will be given the opportunity to scale some incredible peaks. Overall, this is a fantastic trip for anybody who is looking to combine breathtaking views with great fun.

Every day of this trip will feature something new. There will be remote chutes and exciting descents, some of which are more than 1,200 metres. There will be gorgeous glaciers, including the Sawtooth glacier, which you will get to explore. You will also get to explore some beautiful canyons as well, including the Little Slide Canyon.

Regarding the peaks we will scale, you will get to climb to the summit of the great Matterhorn peak (3,743m). Afterwards, you will get to descend on the East Couloir, or as it is also known, the Ski Dreams. Finally, during this trip, we will even spend some time in the world famous, Yosemite National Park!

And at the end of every day, you will get to rest and sleep in a high altitude, alpine campsites. Thus giving you the chance to enjoy some memorable evening views of the Sierra Nevada.

With a trip this full of adventure, it goes without saying that participants must be in excellent physical condition. They should also have previous backcountry skiing experience, and be able to ski down back diamond runs.

Price details

Along with the guiding fee, the price includes all necessary camping and avalanche safety equipment, as well as meals. Climbing and skiing equipment can be rented at additional cost to the participant of the trip.
