Description

Every via ferrata is unique. and the Roda di Vael via ferrata is no different. Located in the Rosengarten group, within the beautiful Dolomites of Italy, this via ferrata is exciting, and offers some truly spectacular views of the surrounding peaks as well.

High in the Dolomites, the views a person can enjoy are breathtaking. There is just so much to see, including far reaching valleys along with the towns below. And on this full day adventure you will have the added bonus of experiencing the thrill of walking right along the walls of the very peaks you will be admiring.

We will begin the trip at the Paolina chairlift. From there we will walk along a trail until we reach the via ferrata. For the via ferrata itself, you will have the chance to walk along the ridges, while gazing at the beautiful mountains resting all around you.

The Roda di Vael via ferrata is made of 100 percent steel cable. Thus making it very safe and secure. As a result, this trip can be enjoyed by people of all ages. Hence making it a great family experience. I will also see to it that you are properly guided, and are using the proper equipment.

For anybody that loves mountains, but wants to see them in a unique way, I always recommend trying a via ferrata. And within the Rosengarten group in the Dolomites, the Roda di Vael is definitely one of the best, as well as one of the most accessible. So if you want to give it a try, just send me a request. I look forward to guiding you.

Mountain Guide

I was born in 1961, I live in Campitello di Fassa, in the Dolomites, together with my family. I have two sons, one is a mountain guide, the other is a ski instructor. I am a certified mountain guide since 1982, an instructor of guides, alpine ski instructor and a Federal coach for ISEF.

Being in the mountains has always been my passion, guiding people, teaching them climbing, mountaineering... during the various seasons of the year. I very much enjoy drawing nice curves in fresh powder snow and discover the charm of the frozen waterfalls.

My curriculum and professional mountaineering is made of many ascents and some openings of routes in the Dolomites and the Alps. I climbed in Yosemite Valley (California), Ben Nevis (Scotland) and Norway, Greece, Spain and Sardinia. I did also several high altitude climbs like Mt Denali (Alaska), Ama Dablam (6828m), Cho Oyu (8201m), Manaslu (8163m), Shivling in India (6545m), Cotopaxi and Chimborazo in Ecuador (5897m and 6310m), Patagonia (Argentina).

Feel free to get in touch with me if you are coming in the Dolomites for skiing (alpine, freeride and ski touring), rock climbing, sport climbing and multi pitch climbing. It will be my pleasure to guide you here and let you discover my secret spots.

Climbing with guide Guillaume was absolutely a highlight of my 2-week Europe vacation. Originally, we were planning on climbing in the Calanques, but the park was closed due to wind and fire danger. Guillaume chose another amazing location (Pic de Bretagne) based on my climbing abilities and preferences and kindly offered train station pick-up and hotel drop off, which I appreciated very much. The multi-pitch route we did was not only fun but also the right amount of challenge, which I thoroughly enjoyed. The communication from the team (Gauthier) was prompt and clear—highly recommend!

Luis Silva was a great climbing guide and belayer! He taught me how to do moves that were difficult and encouraged me to try routes that were challenging for me! Because of his encouragement, I managed to complete these routes! I really enjoyed the climbs and completed 8 routes in the Sesimbra/Azoia area. The weather was perfect, no direct sun and cool enough to enjoy the climbs. Explore-Share made booking an outdoor climbing experience in Lisbon extremely easy. Luis, our guide, was fantastic, and the platform’s organization was flawless.

Patrick was a great guide. He took us on an intermediate Via Ferrata at Passo Sella. Renato was quick to respond with any outreach on the Explore-Share platform. The booking process was straightforward, and once Patrick was confirmed, all went well. It was a wonderful experience, and I’d highly recommend the platform.
