The Sierra de Guadarrama near Madrid, Spain is a true rock climbing paradise. Join me on this incredible adventure. And let’s discover the best rock climbing spots here!

There are many routes we can explore, including la Cabrera, la Pedriza and Patones amongst many other fantastic crags. The more than 4,000 climbing routes of limestone and granite, make this one of the best places for rock climbers in Europe.

Furthermore, the weather in the Sierra de Guadarrama National Park is wonderful. So we can visit it all year round, with different marvellous features each season. For instance, if you decide to come during spring, you will be amazed by the dazzling wild flowers brimming in the park. Summer brings a fresh scent and vibrant greens. Then, on autumn you will be mesmerized by the beautiful palette of colors. And winter will bring a special glow covering the summit of the peaks around with fresh snow. But no matter the season you choose, I promise it will be an unforgettable adventure.

What’s more reaching this paradise is quite easy. Only one hour by car from Madrid, you’ll arrive to one of the best rock climbing areas in the continent and spend 4-5 hours there.

Also, this trip does not require any previous experience. And it welcomes all type of climbers, from expert to beginners, including children 6 years and older.

79 Euros for children. On top of the guide fee the price includes: personal rock climbing gear (helmet, harness, climbing shoes), group gear (rope, carabiners, belay-devices, quickdraws), accident and civil liability insurance, transportation to and from your accommodation. The price does not include: food and drinks (We offer an optional picnic for 15 € per person, with vegan or special food options upon request), tips & Gratuities.

I recommend to bring the following items: -Backpack . -Mountain/Hiking boots or trail shoes/ Sports shoes. -Mountain wear/Sport wear (according to the season). -Fleece. -Waterproof jacket (windproof/waterproof Gore Tex type). -Warn hat and warm gloves (autumn. winter and spring season). -Sun screen and lip balm. -Sun hat. -Sport Sunglasses. -Mobile phone and camera -Passport/Identification document and personal belongings. -Personal medication. -1,5 L of water and snacks (sandwich, fruit, nuts, energy bars, etc…) per person.
