If you are looking for a special program during your visit to Barcelona, consider this rewarding Pyrenees day hike! It is a great way to explore both French and Spanish Pyrenees customs, landscapes and architecture. If you love hiking, or just want to add a natural element to your trip, this is a perfect program for you.
To begin the tour, I will pick you up at your hotel or accommodation in Barcelona. From there, we will transfer in an exclusive van for between 1 and 2 hours towards the starting point of our hike.
During the hike, I will help you understand how this mountain played an essential role in the cultural origin of Catalonia.
There are three different routes you can choose from depending on your hiking experience and goals. Each of them has a different duration and itinerary.
All the tour options include the return to your hotel or accommodation in Barcelona.
Groups on this tour are of a maximum of 7 hikers.

What experience do I need to have? How fit do I need to be? Is this program suitable for children or older people?
There are several route options that we can choose depending on your previous experience and fitness level. The options go from 2 hours hiking to 7 hours hiking, so we can adapt the itinerary for beginners, childre, or more experienced hikers as well.
Where will we meet? Is transport included in the trip?
Transport is included. I will pick you up at your hotel or accommodation in Barcelona. From there, we will transfer in an exclusive van for between 1 and 2 hours towards the starting point of our hike.
What's the itinerary for the day? At what time will we start? How long will the hike last?
We will pick up you at 7.30-8 am in Barcelona, drive for 1-2 hours to the starting point of the hike. Depending on the route we do, the hike can last between 2 and 6 hours. We will be back in Barcelona around 6-7 pm.
What should I bring for the hike?
You should bring a small backpack with water and something to eat. Regarding clothes, you should bring hiking shoes and comfortable clothes for hiking. Depending on the time of the year, consider also a warm and windproof jacket.
Where will we going in the Pyrenees?
According to the weather conditions and your hiking experience, we can determinate the better place of the Pyrenees to go hiking. Some possible options are Puigmal, Taga, Tossa D'Alp, Carlit, Balandrau peak.
Are meals included in the hike?
We include a light snack, so we recommend you to bring water and a sandwich or something else to eat.

Climbing with guide Guillaume was absolutely a highlight of my 2-week Europe vacation. Originally, we were planning on climbing in the Calanques, but the park was closed due to wind and fire danger. Guillaume chose another amazing location (Pic de Bretagne) based on my climbing abilities and preferences and kindly offered train station pick-up and hotel drop off, which I appreciated very much.
