Description

This is an alert for powder lovers everywhere. An epic 10-day skiing journey in the top-class slopes of Nagano, Japan.

The quality, deep powder slopes of Nagano were officially recognised when the region was selected to host the 1998 Winter Olympics.

Located on the island of Hosha, the alpine mountains of Nagano offer excellent terrain for backcountry skiing. And being only a short distance from the capital of Tokyo, Nagano offers easy access to the mountainside.

Once we arrive in Japan we’ll travel to the mountains, as the urban landscape makes way for scenery dominated by nature.

Then we will have days and days of exploring the wild slopes and ungroomed terrain deeply blanketed in fresh snow.

On our last full day, we will have the opportunity to experience Japanese culture. We’ll explore the city streets, try the local food, visit important monuments.

This way we’ll try to immerse ourselves both in Japan’s world-class skiing terrain and its internationally-recognised culture.

Get in touch now to reserve your place in the deep powder mountains of Nagano, Japan, on an action-packed 10-day skiing exploration.

Mountain Guide

I've been skiing and climbing since my early childhood. I graduated in 2005 from the Univerzity of Hradec Kralove with a Master degree at the Faculty of Education. Since then I worked as a history and PE teacher. I was also running an Outdoor sport's club at that time, spending plenty of time climbing, skiing etc. with my students.

In 2009, I became a full time skiing and climbing instructor.

Licences:
2009 – APUL C ski instructor
2010 – APUL B ski instructor
2011 – APUL telemark and snowboard
2012 – ISIA Mark (International ski instructors association)
– MSMT climbing instructor and Mountain leader
2013 – entered the UIAGM mountain guide education
2014 – passed the UIAGM Aspirant exam.
2015 - Succeeded the UIAGM / IFMGA final exam

Spending your holiday with you would be my pleasure. Whether in winter on a ski tour (in Czech Republic or Austria) or in summer among the spectacular sandstone towers.

It will be, with no doubt, a very pleasant experience for all of us. I'm an easygoing, friendly and reliable person with a good sense for responsibility.

Don't hesitate to get in touch with me !

Climbing with guide Guillaume was absolutely a highlight of my 2-week Europe vacation. Originally, we were planning on climbing in the Calanques, but the park was closed due to wind and fire danger. Guillaume chose another amazing location (Pic de Bretagne) based on my climbing abilities and preferences and kindly offered train station pick-up and hotel drop off, which I appreciated very much. The multi-pitch route we did was not only fun but also the right amount of challenge, which I thoroughly enjoyed. The communication from the team (Gauthier) was prompt and clear—highly recommend!

Luis Silva was a great climbing guide and belayer! He taught me how to do moves that were difficult and encouraged me to try routes that were challenging for me! Because of his encouragement, I managed to complete these routes! I really enjoyed the climbs and completed 8 routes in the Sesimbra/Azoia area. The weather was perfect, no direct sun and cool enough to enjoy the climbs. Explore-Share made booking an outdoor climbing experience in Lisbon extremely easy. Luis, our guide, was fantastic, and the platform’s organization was flawless.

Patrick was a great guide. He took us on an intermediate Via Ferrata at Passo Sella. Renato was quick to respond with any outreach on the Explore-Share platform. The booking process was straightforward, and once Patrick was confirmed, all went well. It was a wonderful experience, and I’d highly recommend the platform.
