Description

Join me for 3 days in the valleys of the Haut Jura. Let’s enjoy a superb program full of mountain activities in this  beautiful setting! Snowshoeing to discover in all serenity, cross-country skiing to explore the best hidden spots, dog sledding to enjoy the mountain in the company of dogs, and biathlon to play and imitate our champions.

The Haut Jura mountain range runs along the France – Switzerland border. In this region nature is very well preserved and the atmosphere is serene. The varied program that I propose will allow you to explore the environment with a different rhythm each day.

The goal of this 3-day program is for you to discover the range of nordic activities that are renown in the Jura massif. With the Alps as a background, we will practice cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, dog sledding and biathlon. Four activities in a warm ambiance, looking to have fun.

All the activities will be held in the area of Lajoux or nearby. It is possible to find accommodation at Lajoux or Les Rousses-4 villages.

This is not a demanding program and it is not designed specifically to improve your skills, it is rather planned to make you enjoy the Jura! The Haut Jura is a beautiful environment and you will explore it in the best way if you join me in this trip.

We will end the program with a visit to the Espace des Mondes Polares, at Prémanon. Besides being a mountain leading in the Jura, I am a guide in the Polar regions. You won’t have to push me too hard to make me talk about it! I am always eager to share my passion and my experiences. Have a look at the itinerary below to learn more details of this proposal.

Does this varied mountain program sound interesting? Then please request to book this trip and join me in the Haut Jura! There are planned departure dates that you can check below. And if you want to focus in one activity alone, why not go for this 4-day snowshoeing trip in the Jura?

We will start learning the basic scross-country skiing techniques. Armand Bouguereau will be your guide, and will share his knowledge and passion with you.
In the afternoon you will discover the biathlon. It’s not necessary to be a high-level sportsperson to enjoy this discipline. You only need to be curious and have a good disposition to have fun and imitate the champions!

Day 2: Snowshoeing day

I will guide you snowshoeing in the secret combes of the Haut Jura, exploring the white inviting terrain. I will adapt the exact itinerary and rhythm to the level of the group and everyone will enjoy it!

Day 3: Dog sledding + Snowshoeing + Espace des Mondes Polaires visit

A nordic program is not complete without a dog sledding outing! Sophie Tissot will take you on this adventure traversing the nordic paths during a half-day. We will combing dog sledding with snowhoeing (with me) so you won’t have to stay waiting for your turn for dog sledding.

Mountain Leader

I discovered the joy of the mountains at a very young age, and I knew that my place was there, in the Jura, the Alps, or elsewhere, but in a place where raised terrain allows to go high...
My experience in the Mountain Troops and the Gendarmerie, together with a regular practice of different mountain sports, allowed me to gain knowledge and know-how that enriched my mountain leader training.
In 2012 I got certified as State Mountain Leader (AEM), which allowed me to start fully living my passion for the mountain, and sharing it with you.
I propose to share very varied activities: walking ,hiking, trekking, snowshoeing. It allows me to enjoy precious moments in nature with you.
To complement my leader training, I discovered trail running 8 years ago, a more sportif and intense way to discover the mountain, always respecting the environment.
I can also offer you my expertise in Morocco, where I have been going often during these last years. My knowledge of the field and of the local correspondants allows me to propose magnificent journeys to you!
From the Jura to the Alps, not forgetting Pyrenees, Corsica and Morocco, my approach to the mountain has always been guided by the search of pleasure and the comprehension of the environment.

What people are saying about Explore-Share

Man

Climbing with guide Guillaume was absolutely a highlight of my 2-week Europe vacation. Originally, we were planning on climbing in the Calanques, but the park was closed due to wind and fire danger. Guillaume chose another amazing location (Pic de Bretagne) based on my climbing abilities and preferences and kindly offered train station pick-up and hotel drop off, which I appreciated very much. The multi-pitch route we did was not only fun but also the right amount of challenge, which I thoroughly enjoyed. The communication from the team (Gauthier) was prompt and clear—highly recommend!

Maxine

Luis Silva was a great climbing guide and belayer! He taught me how to do moves that were difficult and encouraged me to try routes that were challenging for me! Because of his encouragement, I managed to complete these routes! I really enjoyed the climbs and completed 8 routes in the Sesimbra/Azoia area. The weather was perfect, no direct sun and cool enough to enjoy the climbs. Explore-Share made booking an outdoor climbing experience in Lisbon extremely easy. Luis, our guide, was fantastic, and the platform’s organization was flawless.

Valeriya

You’re simply the best!!! :))) Explore-Share made everything easy and stress-free. Will definitely use again.

We had Léo as a guide for our day climb in Fonty. We were blessed with a knowledgeable, warm, and instructive guide. Communication with Léo and Ivan was smooth and swift. Explore-Share was excellent in arranging everything for our day climb. The communication was quick, and the platform was easy to use, making our adventure stress-free.

Cami

Patrick was a great guide. He took us on an intermediate Via Ferrata at Passo Sella. Renato was quick to respond with any outreach on the Explore-Share platform. The booking process was straightforward, and once Patrick was confirmed, all went well. It was a wonderful experience, and I’d highly recommend the platform.
