Enjoy the fresh and deep snow in Niseko on this full-day skiing program!
Located in Hokkaido, the village of Niseko is one of the best and most popular spots to enjoy off-piste skiing in Japan. It has several options available for participants with an intermediate to advanced level of experience.
Our destination will be chosen according to the weather and snow activity as well as your skiing level. Keep in mind that we can also organize a program in other areas in Hokkaido.
When there is more than one person, the whole group adapts to the lowest level or we can ski together in the morning and split up after lunch break.
We will start by ascending with a chairlift in the resort and enjoy sliding out of the gates, in the non patrolled area, during the morning and the afternoon. At the end of the day, we will drive you back to your accommodation.
Apart from skiing in the fantastic terrain of Niseko, this program is a great introduction to off-piste skiing in Japan. So, if you are getting started with this activity, you can’t miss this opportunity.
Although no touring experience is required for this trip, take into account that some routes may demand a short hike (about 15 minutes).
As for the equipment, don’t forget to bring your AVI gear (beacon shovel and probe). If you don’t have one, you can rent it in Niseko.

From a very young age I’ve had a strong connection with the mountains and nature. Although I grew up in the city, I used to travel to the countryside quite a lot. At the beginning, I approached the mountains in the summer time, hiking, trekking, sleeping in mountain huts, climbing and doing that kind of things. Later on, I started skiing and I just couldn't stopped: I became addicted to the snow!!
Back-country skiing started to grow on me when I was working in the Lake Tahoe ski area. I can still remember the feeling of the first few times I went to the backcountry on my skis, going up and down several peaks with no people around me except for my group of friends and away from the crowds of the resorts. It was fantastic!
After several year of backcountry skiing in Argentina (near Bariloche) and USA (Lake Tahoe), I made it to Niseko, Japan. I have been skiing, teaching, and guiding in Japan for the past 4 years. The snow here is unbelievable and the skiable terrain is huge and diverse. In the Niseko area you can find everything, from easy off-piste near the resort to several days backcountry skiing out there and lots of volcano skiing. Come on, just contact me and let’s go skiing!!

Climbing with guide Guillaume was absolutely a highlight of my 2-week Europe vacation. Originally, we were planning on climbing in the Calanques, but the park was closed due to wind and fire danger. Luis Silva was a great climbing guide and belayer! He taught me how to do moves that were difficult and encouraged me to try routes that were challenging for me! Because of his encouragement, I managed to complete these routes! I really enjoyed the climbs and completed 8 routes in the Sesimbra/Azoia area. The weather was perfect, no direct sun and cool enough to enjoy the climbs. Explore-Share made booking an outdoor climbing experience in Lisbon extremely easy.
