Description

Located in North Norway and Sweden, Narvik and Abisko form the ice climbing mekka of northern Europe!

The options are endless for ice climbing in this region of Scandinavia, from roadside cragging to 700m long frozen waterfalls.

Imagine hanging on a frozen waterfall, high above the fjord and perhaps hearing the water flowing deep inside the ice. Probably the most fun activity you can imagine – I highly recommend you to give it a try, and no, it doesn´t have to be cold!

It’s a very unique experience, filled with an adventurous setting and close contact to the nature!

Narvik, on the Norwegian side, and Abisko, on the Swedish side, offer plenty of possibilities both for beginners and for experienced ice climbers as well.

I'm currently based in Beisfjord – outside the city of Narvik in Northern Norway.
I'm offering guiding in the whole of Scandinavia whether it be ski touring in the Kebnekaise massif or Lyngen Alps, rock climbing in Bohuslän, the Lofoten Islands or mountaineering in the big mountain ranges of southern Norway, Narvik or Kebnekaise.

Climbing with guide Guillaume was absolutely a highlight of my 2-week Europe vacation. Originally, we were planning on climbing in the Calanques, but the park was closed due to wind and fire danger.
