Description

This Mystic Velebit hiking tour is an adventure that will captivate you in many ways!

First of all, I’ll pick you up in Starigrad and we’ll drive for an hour along the beautiful seaside road to reach Karlobag. This is a cozy and small town located between the Velebit mountain range and the sea. So it’s a wonderful blend of crystal clear waters and amazing Croatian mountains!

From Karlobag we’ll continue driving up to Baške Oštarije pass. And on the way up, we’ll make a short stop at Kubus, a monument shaped as a cube and made of rock. With an altitude of 927m, it has an amazing views over the town of Karlobag, the island of Pag and the entire Velebit Channel.

Then we’ll continue to the Middle Velebit area between Veliki Alan and Baške Oštarije. This area is known for its stratified terrain. Also it is a geological wonder made out of Karst. During our hike, we’ll see beautiful peaks separated by bays.

The Velebit hike will take us about 4 hours. We’ll go to the top of the Velebit peak which has a great view of the surroundings. Also we’ll be able to see a deep karst cave on the way up.

Please bring snack during activity. Lunch can be ordered at hostel upon returning from hike. Please contact me if you wish to make reservations for a lunch.

Meeting point

We usually meet at Starigrad – Paklenica. But we can also meet at Karlobag if prefered.

I was born in Zadar, but I grew up at the base of Velebit, the greatest Croatian mountain, and this shaped the rest of my life. Living in the nature gave me everything I dreamed of. In the same place I had mountains, river and the sea.
I am CMGA certified (Croatian Mountain Guide Association) and UIMLA guide (2013).
I love to explore new destinations, sharing them with nature lovers. And there's more than just the adventure. Indeed, I will take you to discover the locations learning the local people way of living and trying the traditional local food.
In the end, my goal is for you to take home the best memories of this experience!
