Description

Join me on this circuit, mountaineering in classic routes. I will guide you as we go on this one-week experience across the Alps. Experienced mountaineers, this is perfect for you.

An important aspect of this circuit is that the route we chose will be tailored to your ability and ambition. We will decide this together, taking into account weather conditions.

First, I will meet you at Courmayeur on Sunday. After that, we will go over the evening briefing, regarding safety routines, kit checks and rental equipment. Here, I will also decide together with you, our route for the week.

Next, on Day 2, we will go on am acclimatization climb on a high quality mountain route. This will help you brush up your alpine skills. I will guide you up either to Aiguille du Marbreé Traverse (3,535 m) or Tour Ronde Gervasutti Couloir (3,792 m), among other options.

Then, the real alpine climbing adventure will begin. Tuesday through Friday, I will lead you across any of the following classic routes, depending on your skills and ambition, as well as weather conditions:

  • Aiguille du Midi north face Mallory-Porter

  • Aiguille d'Argentiére y Couloir

  • Mont Blanc du Tacul Jaeger

  • Col du Plan north couloir

  • Courtes north-east face

After that, on Saturday morning, we will finish the circuit back at Courmayeur.

In 1988, I joined the Mountain Guides company of Courmayeur, which was the 1st Italian guiding company and the 2nd in the world in 1850. From 1995 to 2001, I had the role of leading guide with as main function the coordination of the work and the promotion of the guiding programs we were organising.
From 1986, I worked in the Mountain Rescue Team of the Aosta Valley. I became a Mountain Rescue Instructor in 2000. As a mountain guide, I practice a lot mountaineering, rock climbing, off-piste skiing, ski touring, snowshoeing, etc.
The past 22 years, I have climbed with my clients many classic routes in the Alps, of mixed, ice and rock; I have climbed the mountains of South America (Aconcagua in Argentina, Cordillera Blanca in Peru, trekking in Torres del Paine in Chile and Fitz Roy in Argentina, the slopes of Alpamayo Pequeno, Sajama, Huayna Potosi, in Illimani Bolivia, Cayambe, Cotopaxi, Chimborazo in Ecuador). Each year, I keep on travelling the Andes with clients and friends to discover new mountains to satisfy the desire of mountaineering.

Climbing with guide Guillaume was absolutely a highlight of my 2-week Europe vacation. Originally, we were planning on climbing in the Calanques, but the park was closed due to wind and fire danger. Guillaume chose another amazing location (Pic de Bretagne) based on my climbing abilities and preferences and kindly offered train station pick-up and hotel drop off, which I appreciated very much. The multi-pitch route we did was not only fun but also the right amount of challenge, which I thoroughly enjoyed. The communication from the team (Gauthier) was prompt and clear—highly recommend!

Luis Silva was a great climbing guide and belayer! He taught me how to do moves that were difficult and encouraged me to try routes that were challenging for me! Because of his encouragement, I managed to complete these routes! I really enjoyed the climbs and completed 8 routes in the Sesimbra/Azoia area. The weather was perfect, no direct sun and cool enough to enjoy the climbs. Explore-Share made booking an outdoor climbing experience in Lisbon extremely easy. Luis, our guide, was fantastic, and the platform’s organization was flawless.

We had Léo as a guide for our day climb in Fonty. We were blessed with a knowledgeable, warm, and instructive guide. Communication with Léo and Ivan was smooth and swift. Explore-Share was excellent in arranging everything for our day climb. The communication was quick, and the platform was easy to use, making our adventure stress-free.

Patrick was a great guide. He took us on an intermediate Via Ferrata at Passo Sella. Renato was quick to respond with any outreach on the Explore-Share platform. The booking process was straightforward, and once Patrick was confirmed, all went well. It was a wonderful experience, and I’d highly recommend the platform.
