Description

Join me for a custom guided trip in the Julian Alps or Kamnik-Savinjan Alps! Over the course of 1 or more days, we will explore some of the most fun and exciting mountaineering and vía ferrata routes Slovenia has to offer!

Slovenia is a country full of hidden treasures and under-the-radar mountaineering routes, in addition to numerous classic and popular climbs. Using my in depth knowledge of the country’s landscape, I will design a custom, private adventure just for you. The program will be completely individualized and based on your interests, skills, strength level, and the amount of time we have to work with. This is a great opportunity especially for beginning or intermediate mountaineers to receive in depth coaching while exploring the beautiful limestone mountains of the area.

To begin the course, we will work on building solid fundamentals. For instance, I will cover the basics of moving in an alpine environment, along with safety tips and, of course, tricks for making life a little simpler on the mountain. Afterwards, our aim will be to explore mountains such as: Škrlatica, Triglav, Razor, and other scenic ridge traverses or steep vía ferratas. We also have the option to work on climbing technique at a nearby crag, or we can visit the alpine museum at Mojstrana. Or, for especially adventurous types with the appropriate skills, we could undertake a more traditional alpine summit of a peak in the Julian Alps. Truly, there is an adventure for everyone, and I have the local knowledge and experience to put together the ideal program based on every climber’s background and outdoor goals.

Mountain Guide

I was born in Ljubljana in 1988 and began climbing during high school. In 2010, I became a climbing instructor, after years of spending my free time on the walls of the Alps, both in Slovenia and abroad. I studied Geography at university, but mountaineering, climbing and now mountain guiding have always been my main occupation. I've received multiple awards, including the Piolet D'Or. I'm a fully certified IFMGA guide.
