Description

Montgenevre is a skiing paradise. Located in the French Alps, this ski resort rests near the border with Italy. The surrounding area is famous for its skiing, and was even used during the winter Olympics in 2006.

The area from which visitors can enjoy a number of winter activities is huge. And along with the variety of possible activities, there is an absolutely stunning background of peaks, valleys, trees and rivers to admire.

Montgenevre stretches into several other areas as well. They include Sestriere and the Via Lattea skiing area. However, on this trip, we will be focusing on the expansive Montgenevre area. The area includes 35 different ski lifts that can take you up to many different parts of the resort. From whichever part we choose, we can walk along several different routes through the snow until we reach any one of the many wonderful slopes from which we can ski.

Some of the best slopes can take up to an hour to reach. However, once we reach them, the fun you will get to enjoy will be well worth it. Also, during the walking times, I will discuss safety tips with you, so you can properly and safely enjoy the slopes once we arrive.

Skiing in the French Alps is famous, and at Montgenevre, you will see exactly why it has gained that fame. The scenery is remarkable. The slopes are plentiful. And the fun you can have is limitless. Mountain Guide

I'm a fully certified IFMGA mountain guide from Les Hautes Alpes. I'm based very close to the National Park of Queyras.
I was born in a farm in Haute Savoie. I grew up with cows and when I was 1 1/2 years old, I climbed my first mountain...Nooo, I'm just kidding !
I come from Paris and I actually started sailing before mountaineering. I studied in a business school and I realized few years later that actually, my passion was not to sit behind a computer all day but to guide friends and clients in the mountains.
I now live in Les Hautes Alpes and I'll be happy to bring you up there and let you live an unique time. So please contact me and let's start planning a mountain trip you would like to do, during the winter or the summer, for 1/2 or several days !

Climbing with guide Guillaume was absolutely a highlight of my 2-week Europe vacation. Originally, we were planning on climbing in the Calanques, but the park was closed due to wind and fire danger.
