Description

Exploring new and exciting spots, and getting the best views of a place, shouldn’t be exclusive for expert climbers. If you have always wanted to get the feeling of conquering a peak, but have no experience, this trip is for you! Join this easy half day via ferrata in Monte Averau in the heart of the Dolomites.

Via Ferrata offers the possibility of getting that feeling of climbing a peak, with the safety of pre-set places to hold and fixed ropes. So it gives you the right dosage of adrenaline, knowing you are safe. Plus, you’ll get the best sceneries of the Dolomites as you reach higher spots.

The route we propose here is short and close to the Rif. Averau (2, 413 m). And it is the perfect introduction to this wonderful activity, by completing the classic Nuvolau and Averau tours. Also, the route has some vertical parts that are equipped with fixed ropes. But, worry not, as it is considered an easy route. Thus, even kids can join this amazing activity.

The itinerary is as exciting as the places we’ll see. It includes fun passages, a chimney and rocky steps that lead to an amazing ridge. Departing from the Averau mountain hut, we’ll head towards the northern gorge of Averau. Then, from the Averau tower, we’ll get fantastic views of Passo Giau, Passo Falzarego, Antelao, Civetta, Pelmo and Sorapis.
