Description

The Mischabel group features an incredible collection of peaks. In fact, there are 5 amazing summits in the group that you can climb during this 4 day expedition. Furthermore, each one of those summits is part of the 82, 4000 meter plus summits in the Alps.

The five summits we will be climbing to in the Mischabel group include the Needlehorn (4,327m), Lenzspitze (4,294m), Stecknadelhorn (4,241m), Hohberghorn (4,219m) and Durrenhorn (4,035m). Each one of these magnificent peaks offers its own unique climbing experience. They also offer their own set of amazing views of the incomparable Alps mountain range.

Since we will be climbing to five different summits in just four days, it is necessary that participants on this trip have prior climbing experience. Moreover, this trip will see you climbing for approximately 10 hours per day. You will also be ascending between 1,000 and 1,500 meters per day. As a result, you should be in good physical condition.

A complete trip for the complete mountaineer, the trip also involves visits to Gassenlied, Hanigalp and Saas Fee. You will also be spending your nights in two comfortable alpine huts: the Bordierhutte (2,886m) and the Mischabelhutte (3,329m).

Price details

The price includes the guiding fee and rental equipment. The price does not include guide expenses, 3 nights half-board accommodation in a mountain hut that ranges from 55 to 80 Euros per night, cable car costs and transfers.

Itinerary

Day 1: Grächen - Gassenlied (1659m) - Bordierhütte (2886m)

We will meet at Grachen at 12:00 pm. Arrival by bus at Saas Fee. We will then ascend to the Bordierhütte, where we will spend the night.

Day 2: Bordierhütte - Dirruhorn (4035m) - Hohberghorn (4219m) - Stecknadelhorn (4241m) - Stecknadeljoch - Mischabelhütte (3329m)

We will leave the hut and make our way to several summits before making our way to the Mischabelhütte, where we will spend the night.

Day 3: Mischabelhütte - Lenzspitze (4294m) - Nadelhorn (4327m) - Mischabelhütte

After departing the hut, we will climb to the summit of Lenzspitze and then make our way to the Nadelhorn’s summit before returning to the Mischabelhütte for the night.

Day 4: Mischabelhütte - Hanigalp - Saas Fee

We will leave the hut, descend to Hanigalp before taking a train to Saas Fee.

Mountain Guide

I'm a professional UIAGM mountain guide who works all over the world and has an addiction for traveling and working in many different places. I live in the southern part of Bavaria/Germany in a beautiful region called Allgäu. It's the perfect location to explore the Alps.

I work as a guide year-round and I love spending time with my clients in the mountains. Fulfilling their dreams and sharing beautiful moments together is what motivates me to do a great job every day.

I have spent a lot of time in the mountains since I was a kid. Mountaineering, climbing, ice climbing and running have always been a big part of my life and I hope to continue for many more years.

I was part of the German National Ski Mountaineering Team and have competed in all major global races, including Pierra Menta, PDG, Mezzalama, Tour du Rutor etc. I participated in many Worldcup races as well. This experience was very important for my guiding career in terms of motivation, knowledge and experience!
