For 27 days we would like to guide you on an adventure you will never forget. We would like to guide you to the top of the incredible Mera Peak (6,476m). From the summit of this great peak, you will get to see the mammoths of the Himalayas, from Mount Everest (8,848m) and Cho Oyu (8,201m) to Llotse (8,516m) and Makalu (8,481m).
This expedition is not just about the summit of the Mera Peak however. This trip is also about teaching you several of the skills needed to reach not just that summit, but future summits as well. Several days, in different, wonderful locations that include Sibuje and Tangnang, will be dedicated to training. You will learn ice climbing and glacier travelling techniques. And you will learn about how to deal with cold related illnesses, rope handling, crevasse rescue and much more. Furthermore, the time spent training in these locations will also help you get properly acclimatized, which is crucial when scaling a peak as enormous as the Mera Peak.
Throughout the trek, we will be visiting several cities, towns and villages. This will give you the chance to not just get a glimpse of, but to spend time in local Nepal. Thus giving you an opportunity to learn about and enjoy the wonderful culture of Nepal directly from its own people and places.
Due to the arduousness of the trip, and the length of it, participants on this trip must be in good physical condition.
Journeying to the summit of the Mera Peak is an adventure you will never forget. And it would be my pleasure to guide you there. If you would like to be a part of it, just send us a request.
We also lead a 17 day expedition to the base camp of Mount Everest as well.
After landing at the airport, you will be picked up and transferred to your hotel, where you can eat, relax and rest for the night.
You will get to enjoy the Nepalese capital city on a guided tour, or on your own before returning to your hotel for the night.
Today we will fly from Kathmandu to Lukla. From Lukla, we will trek to Paiya, where we will spend the night.
We will trek for approximately 5-6 hours to the Pangom Monastery, where we will spend the night.
Today we will trek to the sherpa village of Sibuje, where we will spend the night.
For the next four days, we will be training in the beautiful wilderness of Sibuje. You will be learning important skills from wilderness first responding to rope handling and climbing.
We will trek to Ningsow, through beautiful forest, where we will spend the night.
Today we will trek through jungle terrain on our way to the Chetra Khola campsite, where we will spend the night.
We will trek through the Hinku river valley, along the river to the village of Khote, where we will spend the night.
Today we will make our way to Tangnang, where you can enjoy some amazing views of various peaks in the Himalayas, including the Mera Peak.
Along with acclimatizing, we will be training for the next 3 days in Tangnang. Some of the skills covered include ice climbing, glacier travel and how to deal with cold related illnesses.
We will trek to Khare, which will be the last stop that has lodges. In the lodge we will have a training seminar on crevasse rescue.
During this acclimatization day, we will take a trek to Mera La, where we can practice ice climbing and crevasse rescue before returning to the lodge for the night.
We will trek to the Mera Peak high camp, where we will camp for the night.
At approximately 2:00 am, we will make our way from the high camp to the Mera peak summit. At the summit, you will get to enjoy tremendous views of nearby peaks like Everest, Lhotse, Cho Oyu, Makalu and more. We will then descend back to Khare, where we will spend the night.
Today we will return to Khote, where we will spend the night.
We will trek through the Zatrwa La pass. We will spend the night camping.
We will continue along the Zatrwa La pass, reaching its highest point, where you can enjoy some great views of the Mera peak, until we reach Lukla, where we will spend the night.
We keep an extra day in case of any flight delays, which are common on the Lukla – Kathmandu route. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, you will spend the night in a hotel.
We will transfer you to the Kathmandu airport, where you will catch your flight home.

Climbing with guide Guillaume was absolutely a highlight of my 2-week Europe vacation. Originally, we were planning on climbing in the Calanques, but the park was closed due to wind and fire danger. Guillaume chose another amazing location (Pic de Bretagne) based on my climbing abilities and preferences and kindly offered train station pick-up and hotel drop off, which I appreciated very much. The multi-pitch route we did was not only fun but also the right amount of challenge, which I thoroughly enjoyed. The communication from the team (Gauthier) was prompt and clear—highly recommend!

Luis Silva was a great climbing guide and belayer! He taught me how to do moves that were difficult and encouraged me to try routes that were challenging for me! Because of his encouragement, I managed to complete these routes! I really enjoyed the climbs and completed 8 routes in the Sesimbra/Azoia area. The weather was perfect, no direct sun and cool enough to enjoy the climbs. Explore-Share made booking an outdoor climbing experience in Lisbon extremely easy. Luis, our guide, was fantastic, and the platform’s organization was flawless.

Patrick was a great guide. He took us on an intermediate Via Ferrata at Passo Sella. Renato was quick to respond with any outreach on the Explore-Share platform. The booking process was straightforward, and once Patrick was confirmed, all went well. It was a wonderful experience, and I’d highly recommend the platform.
