Description

Come and join me for an amazing 20-day trek to the top of the famous Mera Peak (6,476m) in Nepal.

Located in the Himalayas, Mera Peak is considered one of the highest permitted trekking peaks in Nepal. The view from the summit of this majestic peak is nothing short of incredible. You will be able to see at least five 8,000 meter plus peaks, including Cho Oyu (8,188m), Lhotse (8,516m), Makalu (8,485m), Kangchenjunga (8,586m), and Mount Everest (8,848m). This makes this trek an absolute must for anybody wishing to see our planet's greatest peaks!

Over the course of this trek, you will pass through untouched forests and glacial lakes, walk through beautiful valleys and see the aforementioned peaks, as well as others such as Chamlang (7,321m). Every moment of every day will be an adventure all on its own.

When we finally reach the Mera Peak Base Camp, you will also have the chance to undergo a 3-day glacier course. We will go over several important items. We'll cover rope techniques, cramponing on ice, snow and ice anchorage, glacier exploration, crevasse rescue, and also climbing. All of these skills are very important for the climb ahead because we will be climbing through steep rock, snow and ice. Hence, this brief course is crucial to help you reach the summit safely.

So let me guide you on this breathtaking journey to one of the highest trekking peaks in the world. Let me guide you to a summit where you will get to see what can only be described as the Himalayas Trophy Case. Where Earth's greatest mountain peaks are displayed in all of their glory. I come from the East part of Nepal, between Makalu (8,470m) and Kangchenjunga (8,586m). I am IFMGA/UIAGM fully certified since 2009.

I have 20+ experience of climbing in the Himalaya. I’ve climbed Mt Everest (7 times), Mt Cho Oyu in Tibet (2 times), Mt Ama Dablam (8 times), Baruntse (2 times), Island peak (15 times), Lobuche (10 times), Pokhalde (10 times), Mera peak (10 times), Mehera peak (5 times), Chulu far east (3 times), Mt Shishapangma until camp 3, Manaslu until 7200m, and Chulu West, Lhakpa ri and other another few more times.

I also have extensive experience of climbing in Europe: France, Italy, UK and Norway (where I work for three months during the summer as a glacier guide).
I'm also a technical mountain rescue coordinator for the 8000's.

It will be my pleasure to guide you through your journey whether for trekking, peak climbing or any mountaineering expedition. Get in touch and let's discuss about the purpose of your trip.

Climbing with guide Guillaume was absolutely a highlight of my 2-week Europe vacation. Originally, we were planning on climbing in the Calanques, but the park was closed due to wind and fire danger. Guillaume chose another amazing location (Pic de Bretagne) based on my climbing abilities and preferences and kindly offered train station pick-up and hotel drop off, which I appreciated very much. The multi-pitch route we did was not only fun but also the right amount of challenge, which I thoroughly enjoyed. The communication from the team (Gauthier) was prompt and clear—highly recommend!

Luis Silva was a great climbing guide and belayer! He taught me how to do moves that were difficult and encouraged me to try routes that were challenging for me! Because of his encouragement, I managed to complete these routes! I really enjoyed the climbs and completed 8 routes in the Sesimbra/Azoia area. The weather was perfect, no direct sun and cool enough to enjoy the climbs. Explore-Share made booking an outdoor climbing experience in Lisbon extremely easy. Luis, our guide, was fantastic, and the platform’s organization was flawless.

We had Léo as a guide for our day climb in Fonty. We were blessed with a knowledgeable, warm, and instructive guide. Communication with Léo and Ivan was smooth and swift. Explore-Share was excellent in arranging everything for our day climb. The communication was quick, and the platform was easy to use, making our adventure stress-free.

Patrick was a great guide. He took us on an intermediate Via Ferrata at Passo Sella. Renato was quick to respond with any outreach on the Explore-Share platform. The booking process was straightforward, and once Patrick was confirmed, all went well. It was a wonderful experience, and I’d highly recommend the platform.
