Description

Reaching the summit of the legendary and spectacular Matterhorn (4087m) is a dream for every mountaineer. I invite you to join me on this 6-day guided ascent, with a gradual approach and training, key to suceed on this challenging climb.

The Matterhorn lies in the Monte Rosa area, in the Pennine Alps, between Italy and Switzerland. This impressive mountain has four steep faces, rising above the surrounding glaciers.

During the first 4 days, the guide ratio will be 1 guide for 2 clients; the last 2 days, it will be 1 guide/1 client.

Our adventure begins in the town of Courmayeur. This 6-day complete programme includes acclimatization climbs before the ascent. We will reach the summit of Gran Paradiso on the third day of the tour.

On the sixth day, we will head towards our goal: the amazing summit of Matterhorn. This will be a long and exciting day, and absolutely rewarding! From the top of Matterhorn we will have a breathtaking view of the surrounding mountains.

The gradual approach that I propose here is essential in order for you to know your strenghts and limits. Through successive stages**,** you will learn how to move on the rocky and challenging terrain of high mountains, improving your mountaineering skills and getting ready for our main goal. It is also very important to acclimatize well to altitude, and this progressive approach is the best way to do it.

Please note climbing the Matterhorn requires previous mountaineering experience and an excellent physical shape. Also, you need previous rock climbing experience at high altitude (Grade 4).

Join me on this amazing ascent to the summit of this legendary peak in Europe. Send me a request and get ready for a challenging and unforgettable adventure.

If you want to train yourself with a previous ascent before Matterhorn, you can check my Gran Paradiso 4-day guided ascent. If you are looking for a more challenging ascent, you can check my Mont Blanc 6-day ascent.

Mountain Guide

I have been working as a mountain guide for more than ten years, and I still love my job very much! The great mountains of the Alps are my favorite playground: Mont Blanc, Matterhorn, Monte Rosa and Gran Paradiso are my favorite destinations.

Great summer ascents and magnificent ski mountaineering tours in winter and spring.

Climbing with guide Guillaume was absolutely a highlight of my 2-week Europe vacation. Originally, we were planning on climbing in the Calanques, but the park was closed due to wind and fire danger. Guillaume chose another amazing location (Pic de Bretagne) based on my climbing abilities and preferences and kindly offered train station pick-up and hotel drop off, which I appreciated very much. The multi-pitch route we did was not only fun but also the right amount of challenge, which I thoroughly enjoyed. The communication from the team (Gauthier) was prompt and clear—highly recommend!

Luis Silva was a great climbing guide and belayer! He taught me how to do moves that were difficult and encouraged me to try routes that were challenging for me! Because of his encouragement, I managed to complete these routes! I really enjoyed the climbs and completed 8 routes in the Sesimbra/Azoia area. The weather was perfect, no direct sun and cool enough to enjoy the climbs. Explore-Share made booking an outdoor climbing experience in Lisbon extremely easy. Luis, our guide, was fantastic, and the platform’s organization was flawless.

We had Léo as a guide for our day climb in Fonty. We were blessed with a knowledgeable, warm, and instructive guide. Communication with Léo and Ivan was smooth and swift. Explore-Share was excellent in arranging everything for our day climb. The communication was quick, and the platform was easy to use, making our adventure stress-free.

Patrick was a great guide. He took us on an intermediate Via Ferrata at Passo Sella. Renato was quick to respond with any outreach on the Explore-Share platform. The booking process was straightforward, and once Patrick was confirmed, all went well. It was a wonderful experience, and I’d highly recommend the platform.
