Spend five days surrounded by breathtaking scenery while practicing your technical skills in this calanques rock climbing course in Marseille and Cassis.

The most famous calanques in the world await! This course is targeted to climbers who want to improve their rock climbing skills. Athletes wishing to give rock climbing a try can also sign up. An intermediate-sustained climbing level (5c/6a level, in the French scale) is required as well as a very good physical condition.

With the Mediterranean Sea as a backdrop, the Marseille and Cassis calanques offer strikingly beautiful views of the area and amazing rock climbing conditions. The region’s great weather will only add to an adventure you will never forget!

A minimum of 4 and a maximum of 5 people can take this course together. It is available upon request from the beginning of May to mid-June and from the beginning of September to mid-October.

Don’t hesitate to contact me even if you are alone as we can usually find other people to take the course with you. And if you are part of a group, contact me to receive a preferential price!

On the first day, we will meet in Marseille and spend the morning at the beautiful Aiguille Sugiton. We will also do our first big route: the Direct. On the second day, we’ll tackle the Calanque d’En Vau, a 100 meter route with 4 belay stations. Day 3 is reserved for our first aerial route at La Candelle. You’ll enjoy unforgettable views at Castelviel on day 4 and then Morgiou on day 5.

Itinerary

Day 1: Meeting and first big route

Meeting at Marseille and climbing of La Direct.

Day 2: Calanque d'En Vau

Choice between two different routes on the magnificent D’Ansange cliff.

Day 3: La Candelle

First aerial route.

Day 4: Castelviel

Ramond crossing.

Day 5: Morgiou

Antécime route.

This price does not include: transport to and from the starting point, drinks, accommodation (hotel, hut or camping to reduce costs), meals for you and the guide.

Sébastien is originally from Toulon. Before he dedicated his time fully to his passion, mountaineering, he has completed a degree in Alpine Geography.
His thirst for adventure took him from countries such as Turkey and Peru to the high mountains of Pakistan .

Climbing with guide Guillaume was absolutely a highlight of my 2-week Europe vacation. Originally, we were planning on climbing in the Calanques, but the park was closed due to wind and fire danger. Luis Silva was a great climbing guide and belayer! He taught me how to do moves that were difficult and encouraged me to try routes that were challenging for me!
