Very high
Join me on an unforgettable expedition to the summit of the Eighth Highest Mountain on Earth, Mount Manaslu (8,163m), located in the Nepalese Himalayas.
The highest mountain in the entire Gorkha district, Mount Manaslu is a sight to behold. This mountain, and the few other mountains that can match its size, is the reason climbers climb.
This behemoth does not shy from the challenge of climbers conquering it. Instead, it welcomes that challenge by offering a variety of routes for those wishing to reach its summit.
The most popular route is the Manaslu Trekking Route (177 km), which follows an old salt-trading route along the Burhi Gandak River. Along this route, you will be able to see several incredible mountains, ten of which are higher than 6,500m, with a few exceeding 7,000m.
Acclimatizing to the high altitude is a must on Manaslu. What makes this program unique is that you will have the chance to do this by climbing a smaller peak first, rather than by staying long days in the Base Camp. Of course, we have oxygen for all our high-altitude programs too, and the most experienced local, certified guides to help you achieve your mountaineering goals.
Manaslu is a very achievable 8-thousand meter dream. For starters, Samagaun village, our starting point for the actual Manaslu ascent is close to Manaslu Base Camp, and this makes it easy to access. There are also no big objective dangers, such as rockfall, on Manaslu. Finally, although it is a very high-altitude mountain, it is not so steep to climb. The magnificent views from the top are a great reward for the brave climbers that master this gorgeous mountain.
Climbing Manaslu is also a great option for those planning an Everest climb for the following reasons:
Keep in mind that the itinerary to climb Manaslu can fluctuate. Things can happen and change on long expeditions that aim to conquer mountains like Mount Manaslu at any time - but that is why this trip is such an adventure. One that will push the very definition of that wondrous word. And finally, after you've pushed yourself to your limits, and gathered enough memories to last several lifetimes, we will all enjoy a delicious farewell dinner in Kathmandu.
To begin your Manaslu experience, you should book at least 2 to 3 months in advance to allow us time to coordinate logistics, permits, and the like. You should also be very well-trained physically, have some prior altitude experience, be familiar with your equipment (including breathing with a warm buff and glasses on, hats, heavy backpacks, and clothing), and be ready for some glacier travel with crampons. Along the way, we will be putting to practice a lot of mountaineering techniques and achieving a great feat as we go along.
So come, join me on a life-changing expedition to the top of one of the world's mightiest mountains, Mount Manaslu.
And, if you would like to join me on a quest to reach the summit of Earth's highest mountain, Mount Everest, you can find all the information to start planning here.

I have been climbing since 1996, starting on the 8000m mountains in the Himalaya. I'm one of the few IFMGA/NNMGA certified mountain guides (Instructor) from south Asia, gaining my qualification from the New Zealand Mountain Guides Association (NZMGA) & Nepal National Mountain Guide Association (NNMGA).
I have successfully guided on Mt Everest on multiple occasions, and other 8000m peaks such as Mt Cho-oyu (8,201m) (3 times), Sisha Pangma (8,013m), Mt. Manaslu (8,163m), Mt. Dhaulagiri (8,167m), Mt. Makalu (8,463m), Mt. Lhotse (8,515m) and many more.
I have have also a strong international climbing experience and extensive knowledge of the logistics, planning and group dynamic that are also very crucial to successfully lead adventures in the Himalaya and around the world. I guided in New Zealand, Norway, France, Scotland, Thailand, Bhutan, Pakistan, India and Tibet.
I'm also a rescue expert and a technical trainer for the mountain guides training.
I very much like guiding my clients in remote places, where no tourist goes. I like also discovering new routes and peaks. Please have a look to the different trekking and mountaineering expeditions I propose and contact me if you want to discuss about them. I can of course also guide you in more 'classic' routes, just get in touch with me and let's talk about your wishes!

Climbing with guide Guillaume was absolutely a highlight of my 2-week Europe vacation. Originally, we were planning on climbing in the Calanques, but the park was closed due to wind and fire danger. Guillaume chose another amazing location (Pic de Bretagne) based on my climbing abilities and preferences and kindly offered train station pick-up and hotel drop off, which I appreciated very much. The multi-pitch route we did was not only fun but also the right amount of challenge, which I thoroughly enjoyed. The communication from the team (Gauthier) was prompt and clear—highly recommend!

Luis Silva was a great climbing guide and belayer! He taught me how to do moves that were difficult and encouraged me to try routes that were challenging for me! Because of his encouragement, I managed to complete these routes! I really enjoyed the climbs and completed 8 routes in the Sesimbra/Azoia area. The weather was perfect, no direct sun and cool enough to enjoy the climbs. Explore-Share made booking an outdoor climbing experience in Lisbon extremely easy. Luis, our guide, was fantastic, and the platform’s organization was flawless.

Explore-Share was excellent in arranging everything for our day climb. The communication was quick, and the platform was easy to use, making our adventure stress-free.

Patrick was a great guide. He took us on an intermediate Via Ferrata at Passo Sella. Renato was quick to respond with any outreach on the Explore-Share platform. The booking process was straightforward, and once Patrick was confirmed, all went well. It was a wonderful experience, and I’d highly recommend the platform.
