Description

The island of Mallorca, part of the Balearic islands, is a very famous place for the unique Mediterranean landscape we have. The beaches are gorgeous, and the scenery is spellbinding. However, one of the best highlights of the island, and what has made it very popular for climbers from around the world, is the fantastic rock quality and perfect conditions we have for climbing all year around.

We offer multipitch climbing, sport climbing or DWS with different options (from a kayak of from our boat), choose your adventure and be ready for a day of emotions together.

If you have experience climbing a minimum grade of IV+, we will be able to make some incredibly fun and stunningly scenic multipitch ascents around Pollença, Sa Gubia, Castell d’Alaró, and Puig Major, all in the scenic Serra de Tramuntana. Intermediate and advanced climbers can challenge themselves with a 250 to 450-meter ascent up a vertical rock wall.

For less experienced climbers, we can head up a more simple route, learning many necessary multi-pitch climbing techniques as we go up.

Among the most popular sport or classic multipitch options for the trip are the following:

  • Sa Gubia – Albahida (200m, IV)

  • Sa Gubia – Supernova, Spits n´Giggles (180m, 6a)

  • Sa Gubia – Ley del Deseo (200m, 6a)

  • Sa Gubia – Sol Solet (200m 6b+)

  • Sa Gubia – Princesa (200m, 6c)

  • Pollença – Agulla de Boquer (70m, V+)

  • Paredón – Common (250m, 6a+)

  • Paredón – Socuéllamos (250m, V)

  • Puig Major – Agulla del Frare – Normal (110m, V)

  • Castell d’Alaró – Orion (110m, 6c+)

  • Castell d’Alaró – Pepe Ramón (110m, V)

  • Entreforc – Normal – (250m, 6a)

  • Entreforc – Vía de los Suizos (300 mm, 7a+)

  • Entreforc – Via de Ses Bòvedes (300m, 7b+)

Each one of those walls provides its own unique and thrilling experience, as they are all very different in shape and size. These walls, along with several others, range in height from 20 meters to 400!

For some of the routes the price can be higher, depending on how long and difficult the route is. If you have a specific route in mind ask us and we will suggest you the best option the enjoy an amazing day of climbing together.

Climbing some amazing single pitch routes in Caimari, Puig de Sant Marti, S’Estret, Castell d’Alaró…. is also a perfect option for those who want to enjoy a morning of climbing, we can also focus more on the techniques and we can teach you how to practise that amazing sport in the most safe way if you want.

We also offer the option of DWS half day or full day trips, we have two options for DWS: discover some of the best crags in the north part of the island with one of our kayaks or enjoy a relaxing morning climbing above the Mediterranean waters from our speed boat.

If you are looking for single, multi-pitch routes, or you want to experience the adrenaline of deep water solo, there is something for you in Mallorca. For all the options, we offer full-day or half-day trips.

What people are saying about Explore-Share

Man

Climbing with guide Guillaume was absolutely a highlight of my 2-week Europe vacation. Originally, we were planning on climbing in the Calanques, but the park was closed due to wind and fire danger. Guillaume chose another amazing location (Pic de Bretagne) based on my climbing abilities and preferences and kindly offered train station pick-up and hotel drop off, which I appreciated very much. The multi-pitch route we did was not only fun but also the right amount of challenge, which I thoroughly enjoyed. The communication from the team (Gauthier) was prompt and clear—highly recommend!

Maxine

Luis Silva was a great climbing guide and belayer! He taught me how to do moves that were difficult and encouraged me to try routes that were challenging for me! Because of his encouragement, I managed to complete these routes! I really enjoyed the climbs and completed 8 routes in the Sesimbra/Azoia area. The weather was perfect, no direct sun and cool enough to enjoy the climbs. Explore-Share made booking an outdoor climbing experience in Lisbon extremely easy. Luis, our guide, was fantastic, and the platform’s organization was flawless.

Valeriya

We had Léo as a guide for our day climb in Fonty. We were blessed with a knowledgeable, warm, and instructive guide. Communication with Léo and Ivan was smooth and swift. Explore-Share was excellent in arranging everything for our day climb. The communication was quick, and the platform was easy to use, making our adventure stress-free.

Patrick was a great guide. He took us on an intermediate Via Ferrata at Passo Sella. Renato was quick to respond with any outreach on the Explore-Share platform. The booking process was straightforward, and once Patrick was confirmed, all went well. It was a wonderful experience, and I’d highly recommend the platform.
