Description

Learn the basics or the most difficult rescue scenarios – or anything in between- on this unique rock climbing course in Lofoten. While you acquire new skills, enjoy the long midnight sun days, perfect granite cracks, glaciers, and beautiful mountains.

The midnight sun is a unique phenomenon that can only be experienced in the Arctic circle and its surroundings. The 24-hour sun period that these select places such as Norway go through is an event in itself. If you pair that with stunning landscapes, you have a perfect combination for an energy-charged experience.

The Lofoten Archipelago is a breathtaking place where the midnight sun shines bright. With its stately mountains rising up from the sea, it is full of majestic landscapes and, in the summer, great rock climbing opportunities. On this rock climbing course in Lofoten, I would like to teach you valuable skills and show you some of its most stunning vantage points!

The first thing we will do before setting off is a quick equipment check. We will also run through some rock climbing techniques. Then, we will head out to discover the Lofoten gems. As we climb high up the granite peaks, we will catch some gorgeous views of the coastline and surrounding mountains, while putting to practice what we are learning.

We will not only have light, but also a lot of physical energy to tackle some superb climbs. I will adapt the course content to your preferences and needs. Additionally, Lofoten has some beautiful towns and great food so it’s well worth touring over the span of a few days. Long ones at that.

For this excursion, it is best if you have some prior climbing experience. It is also important to have a good fitness level. You can join me on any of the listed group dates below or inquire about private guiding. I will be there every step of the way to show you the ropes.
