This 20-day expedition to Lobuche peak and Everest Base Camp is probably one of the most complete hiking programs in Nepal. It combines Tibetan culture with a spectacular Himalayan landscape.
Regarding the itinerary, our meeting point will be in Kathmandu. From there we'll fly to Lukla where we'll have a nice hiking tour to Phakding and Namche Bazar.
We will use the first days for acclimatization as we approach the Everest Base Camp (5365 meters). On the way, we will stop from time to time to meet local people. Once we arrive at the base camp, you won't believe the huge and imposing views of the Everest North Face. Once we reach this classic trekking goal, we will continue on to the climbing segment of the trip as we approach the summit of Lobuche Peak (6119 m), which lies just northwest of the Base Camp.
Please find all the details of the day-by-day program at the bottom of this page. The best months to have a nice mountain trek in this region is from March to May and from September till December. During these seasons I also lead many other programs like this Pisang Peak 17-day climb.
Finally, keep in mind that you'll need an excellent fitness level. Although it's not a technical trek, being well trained physically is mandatory.
Would you like to join me on this fantastic 20-day hiking trip? As a local guide I can guarantee that it'll be the trip of a lifetime. Don't miss the opportunity to discover the Himalayas in a nice and safe way. Contact me now and make your reservation!

Mountain Guide
I have been climbing since 1996, starting on the 8000m mountains in the Himalaya. I'm one of the few IFMGA/NNMGA certified mountain guides (Instructor) from south Asia, gaining my qualification from the New Zealand Mountain Guides Association (NZMGA) & Nepal National Mountain Guide Association (NNMGA).
I have successfully guided on Mt Everest on multiple occasions, and other 8000m peaks such as Mt Cho-oyu (8,201m) (3 times), Sisha Pangma (8,013m), Mt. Manaslu (8,163m), Mt. Dhaulagiri (8,167m), Mt. Makalu (8,463m), Mt. Lhotse (8,515m) and many more.
I have have also a strong international climbing experience and extensive knowledge of the logistics, planning and group dynamic that are also very crucial to successfully lead adventures in the Himalaya and around the world. I guided in New Zealand, Norway, France, Scotland, Thailand, Bhutan, Pakistan, India and Tibet.
I'm also a rescue expert and a technical trainer for the mountain guides training.
I very much like guiding my clients in remote places, where no tourist goes. I like also discovering new routes and peaks. Please have a look to the different trekking and mountaineering expeditions I propose and contact me if you want to discuss about them. I can of course also guide you in more 'classic' routes, just get in touch with me and let's talk about your wishes!

Climbing with guide Guillaume was absolutely a highlight of my 2-week Europe vacation. Originally, we were planning on climbing in the Calanques, but the park was closed due to wind and fire danger. Guillaume chose another amazing location (Pic de Bretagne) based on my climbing abilities and preferences and kindly offered train station pick-up and hotel drop off, which I appreciated very much. The multi-pitch route we did was not only fun but also the right amount of challenge, which I thoroughly enjoyed. The communication from the team (Gauthier) was prompt and clear—highly recommend!

Luis Silva was a great climbing guide and belayer! He taught me how to do moves that were difficult and encouraged me to try routes that were challenging for me! Because of his encouragement, I managed to complete these routes! I really enjoyed the climbs and completed 8 routes in the Sesimbra/Azoia area. The weather was perfect, no direct sun and cool enough to enjoy the climbs. Explore-Share made booking an outdoor climbing experience in Lisbon extremely easy. Luis, our guide, was fantastic, and the platform’s organization was flawless.

We had Léo as a guide for our day climb in Fonty. We were blessed with a knowledgeable, warm, and instructive guide. Communication with Léo and Ivan was smooth and swift. Explore-Share was excellent in arranging everything for our day climb. The communication was quick, and the platform was easy to use, making our adventure stress-free.

Patrick was a great guide. He took us on an intermediate Via Ferrata at Passo Sella. Renato was quick to respond with any outreach on the Explore-Share platform. The booking process was straightforward, and once Patrick was confirmed, all went well. It was a wonderful experience, and I’d highly recommend the platform.
