Description

If you wish to go on off-the-beaten paths in Nepal, then join us on this exceptional Langtang Valley Trek.

This trek will take you on an exotic journey through the land of glaciers in the Langtang valley. You’ll venture into unexplored territory and walk through lush forests of oaks, rhododendron, bamboo and other alpine trees.

Our journey will begin in Kathmandu and take you on a trek of about 19 miles. From Kathmandu, we’ll drive for a good 8 hours to get to Syabrubeshi to start the hike.

The path leads onto a stunning landscape, through dense forests. Crossing yak pastures and alpine meadows, you’ll gradually enter the Langtang Valley and scale a maximum altitude of 3870 m at Kyanjin Gompa.

The next stop on the way is Langtang National Park. Known for its diverse ecosystem, it will be enriching to explore the amazing plant and animal life of the park. The following days will take you to see the local settlements of people following Tamang, Sherpa and Tibetan culture.

During this close brush with natives, you’ll get to learn about their customs and traditional way of living. Another highlight of the journey is a visit to the cheese factory at Yak Kharka, where you’ll learn about the cheese-making process and definitely get to gorge on some delicious cheese.

We’ll be covering all major attractions of the Langtang region, but in case you wish to see more, we can surely customize it according to your preference.

Regarding difficulty, this is an easy to moderate grade trek and requires you to be in good shape. And since there is no technical stretch, it is suitable both for newbies as well as seasoned hikers.
