I want you to join me for a week of heliskiing in Krasnaya Polyana in Russia.
West of the Caucasus, on the Black Sea coast, and less than 70 kilometers away from Sochi, the small village of Krasnaya Polyana is a perfect winter getaway. While it is much smaller than Sochi, and has less tourists, this village has all of the same advantages. Some of the highlights include, fresh powder, comfortable climate, beautiful scenery, and several 3000 meter peaks to gaze at. There is so much to see and do here that a week might not be enough!
Made famous because of the 2014 Winter Olympics, the Sochi area is a skiing paradise. It is also worth mentioning that during those Olympics Krasnaya Polyana was home to many skiing events. However, the focus of this trip won't be so much about the resort skiing, unless weather dictates otherwise. And in those cases, skiing at resorts such as Gornaya Karusel, Laura, Alpika-servis and Rosa Khutor isn't a bad alternative. But, if the weather is on our side, you will have access to a helicopter that will take you to the more inaccessible parts of the region. The goal will be to find unskied areas that you can enjoy to your heart's content. And because this is a week long trip, you will get to enjoy a different area every day.
Also, if the weather continues to smile upon us, there is the option for a 2-day getaway in the Arkhyz mountain area. Once there, you will get to spend a night in the Gorbachev dacha.
Contact me if you are interested in this week long heliskiing trip in Krasnaya Polyana. I know you won't regret it.
And if you want to ski in another part of Russia, I can guide you on another heliskiing trip in Kamchatka, Siberia.

I have been a mountain guide for almost 20 years. But I'm not only a guide...
The mountain is the thread of my life. I am a member of the Chamonix Guides Company, ski instructor and teacher for many years at ENSA (National School of Ski and Alpinism), I am very experienced in the mountains. My experience is multifaceted since I partake in varied projects, as a trainer and first aider at the Chamoniarde de Secours (an association that contributes to the development of mountain safety and to promote alpine environment knowledge), technical supervisor of the freeride competitions organization, or safety advisor and rider in several freeride videos.
My favorite?... The Kamchatka, heliski's promised land. In 2005 I created a heliski agency in Russia, to share my passion organizing exceptional ski journeys.

Climbing with guide Guillaume was absolutely a highlight of my 2-week Europe vacation. Originally, we were planning on climbing in the Calanques, but the park was closed due to wind and fire danger. Guillaume chose another amazing location (Pic de Bretagne) based on my climbing abilities and preferences and kindly offered train station pick-up and hotel drop off, which I appreciated very much. The multi-pitch route we did was not only fun but also the right amount of challenge, which I thoroughly enjoyed. The communication from the team (Gauthier) was prompt and clear—highly recommend!

Luis Silva was a great climbing guide and belayer! He taught me how to do moves that were difficult and encouraged me to try routes that were challenging for me! Because of his encouragement, I managed to complete these routes! I really enjoyed the climbs and completed 8 routes in the Sesimbra/Azoia area. The weather was perfect, no direct sun and cool enough to enjoy the climbs. Explore-Share made booking an outdoor climbing experience in Lisbon extremely easy. Luis, our guide, was fantastic, and the platform’s organization was flawless.

We had Léo as a guide for our day climb in Fonty. We were blessed with a knowledgeable, warm, and instructive guide. Communication with Léo and Ivan was smooth and swift. Explore-Share was excellent in arranging everything for our day climb. The communication was quick, and the platform was easy to use, making our adventure stress-free.

Patrick was a great guide. He took us on an intermediate Via Ferrata at Passo Sella. Renato was quick to respond with any outreach on the Explore-Share platform. The booking process was straightforward, and once Patrick was confirmed, all went well. It was a wonderful experience, and I’d highly recommend the platform.
