Description

Get ready to climb the famous Jungfrau, the highest summit of the Eiger-Jungfrau-Mönch trilogy. Right at the heart of the Bernese Alps, this 4,158m summit will take your breath away. Join me on a 2-day mountaineering adventure.

First of all, I will meet you at the coffee bar at Jungfraujoch. Next, I will guide you on a hike towards the Mönchsjoch hut (3,650 m). As we make our way there, we will be able to observe the planned route for our next day, summit day.

On Day 2, we will start by hiking down pass the Jungfrauhoch, to make our way up to the Bergschrund. After that, we will arrive at the Rottalsattel. Once we make it to the South Ridge, over the Bergschrund, we will aim for the Jungfrau summit (4,158 m).

The terrain along this guided ascent is moderately steep, with short easy climbs along the ridge. Some sections will probably include ice. I recommend climbers to have some experience with ice-axe and crampons prior to this program.

Safety always comes first. This is why three or two days before the tour begins I will assess the snow and general weather conditions and inform you of any changes, should that be necessary.

Remember to pack lightly, use functional clothing and sturdy mountaineering boots. Now, get ready for an unforgettable alpine experience. The technical equipment you will need includes crampons, boots, gaiters, ice axe harness and HMS carabiner. If you need help with rental equipment, let me know.

Mountain Guide

I was born in Sörenberg. I owe my love for sports and nature to my father. Ever since I gave my first steps, it was clear that the mountain was my destiny. I received my first harness when I turned 14. What started as a hobby of mine later became my job and professional career – as well as my passion. Climbing for me is pure sentiment. It embodies a deep emotional confrontation with the mountain, life and one self.

I am an all-rounder alpinist, with experience in both ice and rock. When I was 17 years old, I suffered a climbing accident that left me in a wheelchair for some time. Since then, I climbed Eiger mount over 35 times. This mountain became my home and made me a stronger and more confident climber.

Mountaineering has also given me the opportunity of traveling around the globe. I enjoy climbing remote spots, unknown, untouched territory. Freeclimbing is an exceptional practice that I hope to spread as much as possible.

Yet, what is most special to me is sharing these experiences with climbing partners from all over the world. The bond that unites people up in the mountain is extremely special and intense. Fairness and sustainability are two core values to me. In the end, it all comes down to having a fun and joyful climbing experience. Will you join me?

Climbing with guide Guillaume was absolutely a highlight of my 2-week Europe vacation. Originally, we were planning on climbing in the Calanques, but the park was closed due to wind and fire danger. Guillaume chose another amazing location (Pic de Bretagne) based on my climbing abilities and preferences and kindly offered train station pick-up and hotel drop off, which I appreciated very much. The multi-pitch route we did was not only fun but also the right amount of challenge, which I thoroughly enjoyed. The communication from the team (Gauthier) was prompt and clear—highly recommend!

Luis Silva was a great climbing guide and belayer! He taught me how to do moves that were difficult and encouraged me to try routes that were challenging for me! Because of his encouragement, I managed to complete these routes! I really enjoyed the climbs and completed 8 routes in the Sesimbra/Azoia area. The weather was perfect, no direct sun and cool enough to enjoy the climbs. Explore-Share made booking an outdoor climbing experience in Lisbon extremely easy. Luis, our guide, was fantastic, and the platform’s organization was flawless.

We had Léo as a guide for our day climb in Fonty. We were blessed with a knowledgeable, warm, and instructive guide. Communication with Léo and Ivan was smooth and swift. Explore-Share was excellent in arranging everything for our day climb. The communication was quick, and the platform was easy to use, making our adventure stress-free.

Patrick was a great guide. He took us on an intermediate Via Ferrata at Passo Sella. Renato was quick to respond with any outreach on the Explore-Share platform. The booking process was straightforward, and once Patrick was confirmed, all went well. It was a wonderful experience, and I’d highly recommend the platform.
