Located in Austria, both Pitzal and Kaunertal are full of fantastic ice climbing spots. And during this 2-day trip, we will take you to and guide you through the best ones.

In the Pitzal valley, you can enjoy the following.

  • Kitzgartenschlucht – WI2-WI6, M4-M8, 50 meters

  • Shark – WI6, M6, 250 meters

  • Havana – WI5, 120 meters

  • Monsterline – WI6, 350 meters

In the Kaunertal valley, you can enjoy the following.

  • Renkfalle – WI4 – WI6, 300 meters

  • Grottendach – WI5-6, 120 meters

With such a variety of ice falls, there will be no problem finding the perfect one for you. Also, due to the wide range of difficulty levels and sizes, this trip can accommodate people of different skill levels. So, whether you are an intermediate ice climber, or an expert, you can be assured of a fantastic experience.

To participate on this trip, you should have some prior ice climbing experience. You should also be in good physical condition.

Climbing with guide Guillaume was absolutely a highlight of my 2-week Europe vacation. Originally, we were planning on climbing in the Calanques, but the park was closed due to wind and fire danger. Luis Silva was a great climbing guide and belayer! He taught me how to do moves that were difficult and encouraged me to try routes that were challenging for me! Because of his encouragement, I managed to complete these routes! I really enjoyed the climbs and completed 8 routes in the Sesimbra/Azoia area.
