Description

Ice climbing is the thrilling art of climbing frozen waterfalls using ice axes, crampons and a plethora of safety gear. While being a very beautiful sport, ice climbing is also a dangerous one. It demands seriousness and to follow the correct set of safety measures.

A world renowned winter sports destination, Chamonix is also an ideal place for ice climbing. From spots perfect for introduction to the sport, to imposing icefalls or alpine gullies for the most adventurous traveller, the Chamonix Valley and surrounding area has it all and everything in between.
