The Catskills are a great destination if you want to practice some adventurous ice climbing.

This group of mountains, situated 160 kilometers away from the city of New York, boast around 25 crags offering a vast variety of climbs.

A typical ice climbing day at the Catskills stats at 9 am and finishes at 5 pm. In this way, you will take full advantage of the day.

This is a great place to take your first steps in ice climbing and also to hone your skills at your own pace. You can receive basic ice climbing instructions or improve your skills in mixed climbing or leading.

Besides, you will receive all the necessary technical equipment for ice climbing such as boots, harness, helmet, crampons and ice tools.

In this opportunity, you may either ask for a private appointment or join a group.

Climbing with guide Guillaume was absolutely a highlight of my 2-week Europe vacation. Originally, we were planning on climbing in the Calanques, but the park was closed due to wind and fire danger.
