Description

Get the opportunity to discover the magic of the Dolomites hiking among breathtaking landscapes and enjoying the local hospitality by staying in the mountain huts (rifugios) in the surroundings of Rosengarden, Sassolungo, Sella, Marmolade, Alta Badia and Cortina.

We will hike together among wild alpine meadows, deciduous and evergreen woods, high altitude lunar-like terrain, soaring peaks, dramatic walls and towering mountains. The Dolomites are an uniquely beautiful mountain area and now a UNESCO Natural World Heritage Site.

Please note that I only organize private tours. Unfortunately, I can’t deal with clients looking to join groups. Thank you !

We can either go on a hut to hut tour or stay in one place and go every day discovering another area of the Dolomites. With my in-depth, insider knowledge of the Dolomites I can advise you on the most beautiful and interesting corners of the region, take you to places you’d never get to on your own and help you discover the history and culture of the area.

There is an easy access to trails of all all levels of ability and experience

I will also introduce you to the local cuisine of this unique meeting point between the Italian and Austrian culinary and cultural traditions.

The hike can be combined with some:
– glacier walk in Marmolada (the highest peak, 3,343m)
– via ferrata in Marmolada, Cortina or Sella
– rock climbing in Passo sella, Cinque torri, …

The best time to come hiking in the Dolomites will be from mid-June to early October.

Get in touch with me if you plan to come in the area and if you want to discover the Dolomites while hiking among these uniques sites. It will be my pleasure to guide you in this region where I come from and that I know so well.

Mountain Guide

I was born in 1961, I live in Campitello di Fassa, in the Dolomites, together with my family. I have two sons, one is a mountain guide, the other is a ski instructor. I am a certified mountain guide since 1982, an instructor of guides, alpine ski instructor and a Federal coach for ISEF.

Being in the mountains has always been my passion, guiding people, teaching them climbing, mountaineering... during the various seasons of the year. I very much enjoy drawing nice curves in fresh powder snow and discover the charm of the frozen waterfalls.

My curriculum and professional mountaineering is made of many ascents and some openings of routes in the Dolomites and the Alps. I climbed in Yosemite Valley (California), Ben Nevis (Scotland) and Norway, Greece, Spain and Sardinia. I did also several high altitude climbs like Mt Denali (Alaska), Ama Dablam (6828m), Cho Oyu (8201m), Manaslu (8163m), Shivling in India (6545m), Cotopaxi and Chimborazo in Ecuador (5897m and 6310m), Patagonia (Argentina).

Feel free to get in touch with me if you are coming in the Dolomites for skiing (alpine, freeride and ski touring), rock climbing, sport climbing and multi pitch climbing. It will be my pleasure to guide you here and let you discover my secret spots.

Climbing with guide Guillaume was absolutely a highlight of my 2-week Europe vacation. Originally, we were planning on climbing in the Calanques, but the park was closed due to wind and fire danger. Guillaume chose another amazing location (Pic de Bretagne) based on my climbing abilities and preferences and kindly offered train station pick-up and hotel drop off, which I appreciated very much. The multi-pitch route we did was not only fun but also the right amount of challenge, which I thoroughly enjoyed. The communication from the team (Gauthier) was prompt and clear—highly recommend!

Luis Silva was a great climbing guide and belayer! He taught me how to do moves that were difficult and encouraged me to try routes that were challenging for me! Because of his encouragement, I managed to complete these routes! I really enjoyed the climbs and completed 8 routes in the Sesimbra/Azoia area. The weather was perfect, no direct sun and cool enough to enjoy the climbs. Explore-Share made booking an outdoor climbing experience in Lisbon extremely easy. Luis, our guide, was fantastic, and the platform’s organization was flawless.

We had Léo as a guide for our day climb in Fonty. We were blessed with a knowledgeable, warm, and instructive guide. Communication with Léo and Ivan was smooth and swift. Explore-Share was excellent in arranging everything for our day climb. The communication was quick, and the platform was easy to use, making our adventure stress-free.

Patrick was a great guide. He took us on an intermediate Via Ferrata at Passo Sella. Renato was quick to respond with any outreach on the Explore-Share platform. The booking process was straightforward, and once Patrick was confirmed, all went well. It was a wonderful experience, and I’d highly recommend the platform.
