Explore the wonderful snow in Finland on a unique morning or afternoon in Pyhä-Luosto National Park. On this trip, we’ll combine the best of snowshoeing and backcountry skiing with a method called Altai ski . Join us on a perfect adventure!

Located in Lapland, Pyhä-Luosto National Park is Finland’s oldest national park. A popular destination for cross-country and downhill skiing, it is filled with old Taiga forests and wetlands. Furthermore, winter visitors might even enjoy the Northern Lights at night. This destination is also popular throughout the year for day trips and short hikes due to the splendid views.

The Altai ski is a short, easy-to-use forest ski for backcountry skiing in unbroken snow. We call this technique wilderness skiing. The skis make skiing slower and are easy to control and manoeuvre, ideal for the thick woods, fresh snow and variable terrain we’ll find in Finland.

This trip is perfect for the whole family since no previous experience is needed. You will need to bring warm clothes, such as boots, hat and gloves. We recommend you bring snacks as well.
