Join me for this exciting adventure as practice rock climbing in the stunningly beautiful Southwest Alentejo and Vicentine Coast Natural Park!
After meeting up in Sagres, we will head out onto the rocks right away. We suggest starting at 08h30 or 13h30 on the Sagres outings.
Located a 35 minute drive away from Lagos it's definitely the most dramatic climbing area of the Algarve with most of its climbs just over the sea. Most of these have to be abseiled down into and then climbed back up. It's not unusual to be belaying from a small outcrop while waves crash below us against the rocks, very atmospheric! There are around 80+ bolted routes that range from easy to very, very hard.
It's definitely a location for intermediate to advanced climbers.
All the while we will be surrounded by the park’s natural beauty, including stunning views of the Algarve and Atlantic Ocean.
Once we are done for the day, there will be plenty of time for you to reward yourself with a refreshing dip in the ocean!
