This Half-day Kuilau Ridge jungle trail hike is the perfect choice to enjoy a gentle walk surrounded by the most beautiful scenery!

The Kuilau Ridge jungle trail is set in the Lihue-koloa forest reserve in the centre of Kauai, the north most Island of the Hawaiian Archipelago, also known as the Garden Island.

We’ll start the program with a fun drive where we’ll stop to admire the beautiful 151-foot Opaeka’a Falls. Then we’ll continue driving to the trailhead and start walking up through a well maintained path under huge trees.

When we get to the turnaround point we’ll stop to have lunch, while we enjoy wonderful views of the Kahili, Wai’ale’ale, Kawi and Makaleha mountains.

On the way back we’ll have the chance of jumping into a mountain stream or hike up another hill to look at the incredible Wai’ale’ale Summit again, from another perspective.

Climbing with guide Guillaume was absolutely a highlight of my 2-week Europe vacation. Originally, we were planning on climbing in the Calanques, but the park was closed due to wind and fire danger.
