Description

“Rio Nero”, in Italian, means black river. The waters of the Lago Di Garda, near Arco, in the Province of Trento, are surrounded by steep and high rock cliffs. The sun rarely penetrates to the bottom. Over the centuries, the tannins have leached into them, making a transparent, acidic water that is darkly stained, resembling tea or black coffee.

It is a fairy tale scenery that I offer you to explore and enjoy over this fun half-day canyoning in Rio Nero. You will dive into a different world through the gorge of the Rio Nero canyon, a Jurassic-like landscape.  The steep cliffs –the longest, of 15 meters, which we will abseil–, the many jumps –the highest, of 7 meters– and the black water will guarantee an unforgettable holiday experience.

Everything you need is not to fear water and a minimum weight of 40 kg, so this trip is ideal for families with teenagers or for a group of friends.

I organize this trip every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday at 8.00 AM, and Sundays at 2.00 PM.

So, if you are willing to have fun in these unforgettable waters, do not hesitate to contact me! It will be a true pleasure to guide you in this incredible gorge.

Mountain Guide

Certified mountain and ski guide and is directing since 15 years the Mountain School Mmove (former Friends of Arco). In the past, his passion had driven him for weeks to the solitude of the Alps, of Patagonia, or of the icy heights of the Karakorum to climb famous walls and peaks and open up new routes.

Today his priorities have moved. He wants to share his enthusiasm for the mountains - while working with his guests and in his spare time with his sons, as his father has once done with him. Mauro Girardi is very proud on its enthusiastic and highly qualified team of local Mountain-and Ski Guides, Hiking Guides and office employees. Mmove is not just a mountain school, but is a steadily growing circle of friends, who would like to realize great experiences. We like to Mmove it !!

Mmove is the only mountain school in the Alto Garda region with a guaranteed weekly program and activities for all tastes and the whole family.

The team is formed by 8 IFMGA/UIAGM Guides, so if Mauro is not available, one of the other highly qualified members of the team will be the guide.

Climbing with guide Guillaume was absolutely a highlight of my 2-week Europe vacation. Originally, we were planning on climbing in the Calanques, but the park was closed due to wind and fire danger. Guillaume chose another amazing location (Pic de Bretagne) based on my climbing abilities and preferences and kindly offered train station pick-up and hotel drop off, which I appreciated very much. The multi-pitch route we did was not only fun but also the right amount of challenge, which I thoroughly enjoyed. The communication from the team (Gauthier) was prompt and clear—highly recommend!

Luis Silva was a great climbing guide and belayer! He taught me how to do moves that were difficult and encouraged me to try routes that were challenging for me! Because of his encouragement, I managed to complete these routes! I really enjoyed the climbs and completed 8 routes in the Sesimbra/Azoia area. The weather was perfect, no direct sun and cool enough to enjoy the climbs. Explore-Share made booking an outdoor climbing experience in Lisbon extremely easy. Luis, our guide, was fantastic, and the platform’s organization was flawless.

Patrick was a great guide. He took us on an intermediate Via Ferrata at Passo Sella. Renato was quick to respond with any outreach on the Explore-Share platform. The booking process was straightforward, and once Patrick was confirmed, all went well. It was a wonderful experience, and I’d highly recommend the platform.
